I said with a smile. Her eyes lit up with recognition. "Oh! You're the Gonzalezes! In the Miller beach house! We're so glad someone is finally living there year-round." She leaned in conspiratorially. "We have a weekly book club. Tuesdays at ten. We're starting a new mystery next week. Nothing too taxing. We'd love to have you." A book club. The invitation was so ordinary, so wonderfully mundane. For a moment, the old Gwen surfaced—the one who scheduled meetings with senators and orchestrated multi-million-dollar legal strategies. But she was quickly quieted by the woman I was now.

Claire's POV： Leo and I walked back from the grocery store, a reusable bag heavy with greens swinging between us. He launched into his favorite evening ritual: the dinner menu announcement. "Garlic roasted broccoli! Creamy mushroom pasta! Maple-glazed carrots! Lemon-herb chicken! Oh, and garlic bread!" he declared with the gravity of a maître d'. I raised an eyebrow. "That's a five-course feast for two. You sure your stomach's up for the job?"

It's supposed to feel like a medieval tavern. "This placed looked a whole lot cooler online," I laugh. "Well, what do you want to drink?" Selah asks. I look at the Knight Shaped coffee menu. Is this a teen Chuckie Cheese? "I'll have the black plague," I burst out laughing. Even their menu has medieval-themed names on it, like the Mutton Muffin. "Promise me we will never come in here again," I laugh. "Sure thing. This is bad. The black plague tastes rather good," Selah says.

Blood Judas grinned and then the others began to laugh. "Maybe I taught him very well" Master chuckled as well. "Except he kills" Catherine took a sip of champagne with a smile. Then we commenced devouring our supper before we depart ourselves out of this corps. Sakura-chan is quiet while dining and never diverse his lips to converse with us. They murmur their rumors louder than a rustle of tons of deceased leaves in autumn. "Our ten clubs, are they good?" I asked. "Of course Wilson, we never run out of booze, drug,s, and wh*res, why?" Wayne asked after he hurl his retort.

He shifts back; putting a seat between us and truly looking horrified. Bibah simply shakes her head at our childish shenanigans and takes a sip of her iced latte, metal straw clinking in the Hydro Flask. “The Awoo Book Club’s pick for this week is H.P Lovecraft.” She pats the voluminous book atop the pile and I notice it’s the library copy of H.P Lovecraft’s Omnibus 3. “I’m so excited to roast his ass.”

They took the menu and Karen first ordered foods "I want an order of Foe Gras and an order of Prunotto, Barbaresco, Peidmont,Italy, 2015 red wine" And she looked at Rachel who had not yet decided what to eat. "How about you sister Rachel what do you want to order? It's my treat " Said Karen "Ahm , I think maybe it's just beef steak and an order of 1997 catena Zapata Etiba Reservada red wine" said Rachel. "Ma'am what do you like to cook in steak? rare, medium or well-done?" The waiter asked Rachel. "I want to eat well done beef steak " Rachel replied

We take the booth at the back. I sit down and the seat is warm from some previous occupant and the table has a sticky patch near the condiment rack that I move my elbow away from, and the teenager puts the menus down and says the special is eggs three ways and the coffee is fresh, and I pick up the menu and look at it and for a moment, just a moment, my eyes go to the eggs section and stay there. Scrambled. Fried. Poached. Eggs three ways. I close the menu and put it face down on the table.

They can see what happens outside the restaurant but those who stay outside can't see what happens inside . They also shock to see the soft and colourful sofa and the glass tables , the shelves of books . There are novels , children books and many other books . According to the waitress , they can only read the books in the restaurant and they are not allowed to take them home but they can rent the book with a club member's card. The restaurant busy for the whole days . For the wealthy family , the price is suitable and too cheap for the delicious foods and drinks. Everyone give a good compliment for the service and especially the pastries and ice milk tea.

Albert rolled his eyes. “OOoo, you love checking all the taboo trope checkboxes. I’m telling Alex to pick a teacher/student book for our next book club read.” Agustín smiled. “He’s in the book club, too?” Albert asked. “A lot of people connected to the pack are.” I shrugged. “So, how do my friends and I join this book club?” Albert asked. “Also, I’m the only one teaching her this semester. Come January, we’re not in violation of any school rules.”

I sat on Xavier's lap, Dane and Theo on either side of me as we chatted with their parents, Marilyn already popping one of the faerie bottles and pouring four glasses. She handed one to me and I blinked in surprise. "If you're joining Book Club, you'll need to get use to the buzz." She winked. My ears twitched and they all chuckled. "You'd allow me to join your Book Club?" I asked, Xavier squeezing me sweetly. The mother's smiled at me, sitting shoulder to shoulder beside Dane. "Theo says you're reader of classics." I smiled and nodded. "I love them." Thena pulled out a bag from under the table.
