I search the room carefully, looking through shelves and drawers till I come across a candle stand sitting on the shelf. What's a candle stand doing on a bookshelf, with tons of books? Doesn't Killian worry about his books getting caught in fire? Unless…... I picked up the candle stand, and to my surprise, it only moved an inch, then a resounding click echoed in the room. I yelped, stumbling backwards when the shelf started moving. It shifts to the right, exposing a door behind it. So doors like these exist not only in movies? Curiosity got the better of me, so I twisted the doorknob and opened the door. It led to another room, well furnished and dimly lit.

Oma kept following and I began to wonder if she even had anything to do here in the first place. I pushed open the large oak door and we entered into the office, the room was large with four chairs positioned in front of each other in a circular formation, a large book shelf filled to the top with documents and arranged accordingly, a large chandelier hung from the ceiling, at the top right, was a large wooden desk that seemed to have been cut from the same wood as the door, it was littered with all kinds of paper and two laptops. Behind the desk was a large window covered with a grey cotton.

Chapter 11 SELENE Someone knocked on my office door. I looked at it for a while and went back to fixing the boxes of my father’s things left here in the office. “Yes, I come in,” I mumbled softly. I heard the door open and close. Different books are here in the box, I didn’t know my father loved books or these belonged to my mother since she really loves books. I put up the wood to block entry from the other side before I turned around, my eyes taking in the room. The fire was out and the curtains had been drawn open, casting in a bright light. The book remained firmly in place, as if glued to the shelf. I pressed against it experimentally. To my surprise, a soft click sounded, and the entire bookshelf rotated smoothly on hidden hinges, revealing a hidden door set into the wall behind. My heart raced. A secret room? What could Edward possibly be hiding? My wolf stirred uneasily, sensing something important beyond that threshold. I stepped closer, reaching for the handle, my curiosity overriding my sense of propriety. Edward’s private matters were none of my business, but something about this hidden door pulled at me.
