Kennedy POV. The weather was bad, but I needed to get that new book, it's Robert birthday gift, who'd knew a grown up man would kill for the newest werewolf love book. I got into my car, drove carefully toward the local book store, they had the new book reserved for me. It was supposed to one quick drive, until I walked into the library. A girl was sitting on a bean bag, her blond hair was covering her eyes with overgrown bangs, she tried to huff them away from her face but to no use. She looked young, maybe she's just here with her parents, looking down at the book she had in her hands it was a kids story. Does she read for the local kids? Or is it just for her?

I needed to redirect before I melted into a puddle right in front of him. So I did the one thing I knew would get a reaction. Without warning, I reached out and snatched the book from his hand. “Hey—” “It’s not even open to the right page,” I teased, holding it just out of reach. “You weren’t reading it.” Mason sat up slowly, the corners of his mouth curving. “You’ve got guts.” “Someone has to keep you entertained,” I said, hugging the book to my chest. “Give it back, Lily.” His tone was playful, but there was an edge there too, something dangerous curling beneath.

Before I could think too much about it, his eyes quickly roamed its way to my luggage as fast as it were on my lips just a second ago. "Here let me take that for you." Mason said while reaching for my bag. He came closer to my body in order to reach my luggage. The closer he got, the more I freaked out. His face was mere inches from mine now. I couldn't help myself as I looked him up and down. Mason was wearing jeans with a black buttoned down shirt, with dressy shoes. I bit my lip again as I checked him out. I could feel my thong drenched in wetness already.

I only smiled until my eyes curved like crescents. Something seemed to block Mason's throat. He stepped back from the closet and accidentally bumped the bookshelf with his shoulder. Something fell from the top shelf and hit the floor with a slap. A dark-blue journal with a worn, fraying cover lay open on the floor. He bent to pick it up, but his gaze caught the first lines on the exposed page. "I came back from ten years in the future."

Carl asked running his hands through the drawings of the book. “I don’t know but whoever it may be, they definitely possess quite a chunk of property in this room” Mason stated as he tore his eyes away from that book. “And what do you all think you are doing, going around rummaging through someone’s property?” they all looked at the direction of the voice and at the corner of the room sat an old man. “Who are you and how did you got there because clearly you weren’t there when we entered this room” Mason asked, as the rest just stare down at the old man trying to catch his scent.

“Better than that club, at least.” “Exactly.” April disappeared into the back room, returning with a stack of books. She plopped them in front of me. “Here. Keep your hands busy, maybe your brain will stop overloading.” I rolled my eyes but pulled the stack closer. “My brain has stopped overloading, work master.” “Motivator,” she corrected with a grin.

The cat was happy, Mason walked back over to his seat and resumed his position, picking up his e-reader and picking up the story where he left off. He kept reading until his eyes got gritty and then he dragged himself to bed, reading some more until he was falling asleep. He put the book down and closed his eyes, but the images from the book played behind his eyelids like a movie. The book was fucking great and was sure to be a bestseller and she was leaving that decision up to him.
