They both stare at each other in disgust- “Uweh… It’s you…,” they say at the same time. The girl was another one of his friends named Ayame. She had long black hair and was really beautiful. A slender body to a pretty face. Everyone looked up to her but she never made contact with anyone other than Akihiko since he made contact with her first by calling her something ridiculous. She stood first in academics every single year. Her eyes looked just like Akihiko’s. They were blood red in colour. These were the only human friends he has had from middle school.

After that, they left Kei alone by reading a book in his hand. Kei was in the school hut he massaged the back of his neck which felt sluggish. Kei leaned back for a moment to calm his brain which had memorized too many magic steps in the book. Kei smiled a little seeing his two friends Freddy and Shima who were sitting not far from the hut laughing. Maybe they are more compatible when being friends than making love. Kei smiled again seeing Shima getting happier.

It just sounded like something of stroys that our parents told us. "You knew this would be the cost," the witch continued, her eyes never leaving mine. "And you still came. What does that tell us about you, I wonder?" I swallowed hard, forcing myself to meet her gaze. "It tells you that I will do anything for my friends," I said, my voice tinged with defiance. "And that I'm not afraid of what's to come." The witch seemed taken aback by my words but quickly regained her composure. "Very well, then. Bring us the Book of the Moon, and we'll help you locate your friend. You have until tomorrow night."

I wish I could slip out of here but the annoying pixie by the door is blocking me in. "Why can't we just be friends again?" Izzy asks sadly and Briar lets out a heavy sigh. "We were never friends, Izzy. That wasn't what real friendship is." She says firmly and my heart soars when she looks over at me, warmth in her eyes. Pride fills my body and I naturally gravitate towards her. I stand behind her, soaking up her closeness and letting her know I'm here if she needs me. Izzy watches our interaction before she turns on her heel and leaves us alone.

I realized my mistake of calling it a diary on seeing the glee appearing on his face. "Oh my God." He looked back at it in his hand and smiled, "This would be an amazing replacement for Frankenstein." "Don't you dare read it!" I walked around the table and he moved farther away from me to the door, "Give it back Nexus! It's not yours to read." If he read that book I could as well be dead. "Best friends have no boundaries and privacy from each other." He quoted, "Book of best friends, rule 89." "Where on earth is that written?" I clicked my tongue as he moved his fingers in the air and a book appeared out of thin air. He threw it at me and I caught it.
