My breath shook as the heat rolled over us in a warm, protective wave that somehow didn’t burn. I knew this fire. I would know it anywhere. My chest tightened as I looked up. This was no mere beast or entity - this was an elemental force of nature imbued with a searing, blazing radiance that eclipsed the fiercest wildfires.
