From his nose Boro took in the smells of food being cooked, bacon, eggs, and other rich scents filled his nostrils. Boro strode over to the bar, where several nearby lords eyed him and his sword and made disdainful faces. Boro tried to walk with confidence but the eyes on his back made him stubble from the foot of a chair. Face reddening, he straightened himself up and walked the last couple steps to the bar. It was time. Two… As Adira prepared to run, she caught sight of a small patch of brown fluff in the corner of the room. A stuffed bear. Brax’s stuffed bear, the closest thing she had to her brother. My hair was already messy and matted and annoyingly sticking to my face. "Get me a chair." he instructed the scantily dressed woman, Bella, in that same brisk voice he had used earlier. My head was lowered, so I could see their feet. He wore a thick, heavy looking boot that was quite dusty. I raised up my head to look into his face, there was a slight smirk etched there, just by the corner of his lips. "I'm sure that by now you'd have understand what has happened in the past hour. I scowl at it. If Ragnar thinks I'm going to play his game, then he's grossly mistaken. I make way for the bathroom, but my hand brushes over the shelf, knocking a book down. I'm about to pick it up and toss it back in the shelf when I stop, looking at the open page. An image of a hooded man, dressed in a black coat, swinging a scythe in one hand stares back at me. "The tale of the three wolf packs..." I whisper, reading the caption underneath.
