It might change, but at the moment I'm planning on ending this when Shy begins. Hope you guys enjoy this! Thank you for all the support on Shy and I hope I don't let you down. Ps: For those of you who have read Shy... please don't post spoilers in the comments about that book as some people may go on to read that after and it's not fun for them if they know spoilers. And I'm mainly talking about the big thing at the end of Shy. (You know what I'm talking about ;) )Please don't comment about that as it will completely ruin Shy for new readers !

I said pointedly "And it wasn't necessary to get into another scandal" he retorted sharply and raised his phone. "What's this again, Sloane?" I raised an eyebrow in confusion. What other scandal was he talking about? I went into the dinning room where he sat and looked into his phone. I let out a gasp when I saw it's content. It hadn't been up to two hours since I left the mortuary and a long article had already been posted. Apparently, a picture of me with the vampire guy was uploaded and an article which said I was on to my next boyfriend was written right under the picture. I face palmed in distress. This is exactly what I avoided earlier.

"We've been together for seven years. I remember coming home late one night and finding her asleep on the couch. When she woke up, her hair was a mess. She yawned as she rubbed her eyes and told me she made me soup to sober up. "That look really killed the mood, and I lost my appetite for the hangover soup she made. I suddenly realized that I don't love her anymore. She used to be my goddess, the girl I pursued for two whole years. "But now, that goddess had turned into an ordinary woman who didn't bother to care about herself anymore. But we've been together for seven years. We were classmates. Our lives are too tangled up. Breaking up isn't easy. God, what a nightmare."

"Wendy, hurry up. I've got a surprise for you." Gideon Cross stood at the edge of the grove, waving me over. The golden light of the setting sun fell across his face. His smile was warm and familiar, reminding me of the more than two thousand days we had spent side by side. I had barely taken a step when several glowing lines of text suddenly flashed across my vision. "Don't go. There's a sulfuric acid trap in the grove."

“Hmm? Rumors about me? Haven’t heard about it. I just hope they were good rumors and not bad.” I rolled my eyes. “Oh come on. As if you haven’t heard any of those yet.” He chuckled, shaking his head. “Promise! I’m completely innocent about those rumors. Tell me, what are those about?” “I don’t want to. It’s… embarrassing on my part.” “You’re blushing! Come on, I’m curious what these are all about.” What the hell. I could feel my cheeks heating up. Thankfully, we have reached the shower room. I was about to turn my direction toward the female shower room when Adrian held my arm.

Maybe not for Zeke, but definitely for me, so I scoff instead. Marco leans forward, eyes narrowing. “You’re really losing it today.” I don’t bother replying. I don’t trust my voice not to crack. He tries again. “Did you finish a book with a sad ending and you’re still thinking about it? You know that’s why sometimes spoilers aren’t so bad. I never pick up a book if I know it doesn’t have HEA.” I sigh. A long, tired, pathetic excuse of a breath. Marco stops playing at being annoying. His tone softens. “What’s going on?”

But in the comment section, I repeatedly pointed out that it will never happen. Sometimes, it’s the journey that matters and not just the destination. Again, I apologize if the book is getting too much for you to handle, and it will be sad to see you quit it, as I understand some of the occurrences are what you never signed up for. Trying to stop you will be desperation on my part and giving you spoilers ahead doesn’t sit well with me, but I’ll respect your decision. You’ve followed this book from the very beginning and you’re highly appreciated.
