As the raging war in the supernatural world continued claiming lives, the fairy elders saw the need to create a book that would be like an encyclopedia of the fairies, containing all the knowledge about fairies in order to keep all the knowledge alive from generations to generations and so saw the birth of 'The ancient book of the fairies'. To avoid this book falling into the wrong hands, a spell was cast on it shielding it from the hands of any other supernatural creature. Any other creature aside a fairy who touched it would immediately turn to dust. This book was kept in the care of the royal family.

’ He sniffled. ‘Maybe I can find a way to fix that, too,’ I muttered, scanning the pages of an ancient, dusty book I’d found buried in Moon Chasm’s library. I didn’t find anything. There were old fairy tales, so old they barely seemed recognisable anymore, that spoke of affronted gods casting down their children and making the first wolves. Some were classic tales, like the one about three pups going too near a river and being turned into toads to save them from drowning; others were cautionary tales, warning young wolves away from humans and forbidding any sort of romances between us and them – all in a fun, rhyming sort of way, of course.
