Books By Kindle Novels & Stories

It was only a brief moment, but I would recognize that tattoo anywhere. On the left peck of the man's chest, swirling ink formed a huge snowflake with a snarling wolf. I knew that picture. It was the sigil of house Caldore. I had seen it in books and read about it in stories. The older witches whispered it in the tales they told my village at night. Wolves with hearts as cold as ice and skin that snow melts upon. I was in Northwood, and what was worse was that I knew the man who was rummaging angrily through the books in his room. I should have realized it the moment I saw his glowing blue eyes.

I don't have any pending assignments right now, so I thought I'd read a story on the Good Novel app first. Ever since I couldn't buy physical books anymore, I started reading different stories about fantasy and romance on this app. At least I'm having fun, especially when I'm stressed out over school work and other stuff. I'm reading Miss Thinz's story Her Ruthless Alpha because I love Erdy and Zerra's story. I hope I can find a man like Erdy. They're not just handsome and rich, but they're also really loving and caring. But those kinds of men can only exist in novels.

Oh and of course my books. Grams was getting quite annoyed my books taking so much space away, so she decided to buy me an e-reader last Christmas. I do love my paperbacks more, but have to admit it's great to have the e-reader. This way, I didn't have to drag my 786 books I have at home here.

I hadn't even spoken yet when my best friend, Eliza Pearl, already had tears welling up in her eyes, as if they might spill at any second. It’s a Kindle, and there’s a lifetime subscription already on it. I figured it would be useful because you’re always carrying around those heavy stacks of books and needing help with carrying them around.”

To her. Aurora is stretched out on the blanket a few feet away, one knee bent, hair lifting and falling against her cheek whenever the wind decides to toy with her. She is reading on her Kindle, thumb moving in small, distracted motions as she scrolls. I still cannot get used to that thing. Reading, to me, means weight in your hands, paper that remembers every person who touched it before you, corners worn down by time. Aurora likes that too, I know she does. But she loves stories more than formats, and convenience wins when she wants to disappear into a book for a while.

Zheira looked away, stuffing her phone out of sight. Reading her silence, Melinda simpered. “That’s lovely, Zhe! But, as your mother, I want you to give business and nonfiction books a chance. It’s better than that pile of rubbish. Besides, it will also give you important lessons. After all, you are our only heir.” She stopped for a moment, formulating the thought she came up with. “You know what? Why don’t you read the books I’ve written about mining?” “Oh, come on, Hon! That book is boring. They don’t even teach you anything—” He cleared his throat when his wife glared at him. “Just kidding.”

He sobered then cleared his throat. I smiled. “He was shocked.” It was difficult to believe that Adam was related to Tristan. There was a slight resemblance. Adam came a bit closer and leaned against one of the posts. “I wasn’t sure what kind of books you like, so I brought a memoir, a thriller, a romance, and a fantasy book. We don’t have many new books. I don’t think I’m allowed to give you my kindle. You could use it for other stuff.” I smiled. “It’s okay.” Despite my intention to hate on every Russo, it was difficult not to like Adam. “I think I’ll pass on the thriller, though. I’ve had plenty of thrill in my life recently.”

No one has found the bodies yet, though, so theres still a lingering hope out there that they're alive. I sigh as I crawl under the thick quilt, flicking on the lamo beside me as I pull out my latest find at Barnes and Nobels: The Winter Garden by the famous Kristin Hannah. This woman's books are truly amazing. Then, after an hour long reading session, I find my eyes beginning to shut against my will, so I set down the book on the bedside table and shut off the lamp. ~ The next morning...

“Wait here, I’m going to give you something that will help you relax.” Before I could make a protest, she was gone out of my sight. Girl number eleven was now too close to Ace, as if she wanted to sit on her lap. She kept nudging for his biceps, rubbing her arms against Ace’s from time to time. Ace seemed to be oblivious of the lustful stares he was getting from the girls flocking around him. “Got it” Karen came back catching he breathe with three books in her hands. “Here.” “What am I going to do with these?” grabbing the offered books to me, the book on top was entitled ‘Fifty Shades of Grey.’
