Rise Of The Betrayed Omega

Rise Of The Betrayed Omega

She's already tucked under a quilt decorated with stars, and a stack of books on her nightstand. "Uncle Shawn!" She bounces excitedly. "Please read me a story since it's your first time visiting." "Of course," I hover in the doorway, suddenly feeling massive and out of place in this delicate space. "Come sit!" She pats the bed beside her. I walk into her room and lower myself carefully onto the edge of the mattress. She immediately thrusts a book into my hands. "This one!" I look at the cover—some story about a brave little wolf. Of course.

Where She Falls, We Catch Her

Where She Falls, We Catch Her

“You realize she’s going to memorize this place by the time she’s five.” “I know,” Evelyn murmured, pride threaded through her voice. On the rug, Eva had already chosen. The book was thick, with a worn blue cover and an illustration of a dragon coiled around a tower. She sat cross - legged, fingers pressing lightly against the embossed scales on the cover before opening it. The illustrations inside were rich — watercolor skies, mountains, and dragons with eyes like jewels. Her small voice read the shapes of the letters aloud, haltingly, not yet forming the full words but tasting their rhythm. She traced the dragon’s curved horns, then its tail, then the tower stones one by one.

Pause, Rewind, Play

Pause, Rewind, Play

Alya lied down on the couch and rested her head on the pillow, smiling up at me. Stories were our thing. After a lot of effort, I got her into reading. But her only condition was that I read to her. Ever since, we picked an author and I read all of their best books to her almost every day. And Oscar Wilde's The Happy Prince was the first book I read to her. It became her favorite book and Wilde her favorite author.

Jasper: The Beginning (Book 1)

Jasper: The Beginning (Book 1)

Several Weeks Later Jasper slowly eased his body onto its side. Mimicking sleep, he intently listened to the conversation between a young woman named, Cora, and the old nurse he’d heard called both Bess and Smithfield. He’d assumed that her true name was Elizabeth Smithfield with Bess being the nick name for Elizabeth, but names were funny things. He’d noticed the increasing pattern of nick names or abbreviated names being given to children at birth by parents wanting to be different. Therefore, he could have been incorrect on that assumption.

Pregnant for the Heartless Billionaire

Pregnant for the Heartless Billionaire

“Come, Brian. Daddy’s reading us a story.” He hesitated only a second before climbing up, squeezing himself beside his sister. Arya looped her little arm around him, and he leaned against me, his head resting on my side. My throat tightened as I adjusted the book so both of them could see. “Ready?” I asked softly. They nodded, their faces expectant, their eyes wide. And so, I began. “Once upon a time, in a kingdom far, far away, there lived a princess who was braver than all the knights in the land. She had hair as golden as the sun and eyes that sparkled like the stars. But one day, a fearsome dragon came to her village…”

Second Chance Alpha

Second Chance Alpha

She smiles as she climbs into bed. Kim smile as she moves over next to Brianna. I walk over taking a seat at the end of the bed as Kim open the book. "The very hungry caterpillar." She read the title to Brianna before opening the book. "In the light of the moon, a little egg lay on a leaf. One Sunday morning the warm sun came up and pop out the egg came a very tiny and a very hungry caterpillar." Kim looks over at me sitting on the end of the bed and smile as she turns the page and continues to read the book.

I liked the way that thru out the book you gave little clues along the way and when you revieled that Brandon was the killer it all fit together. Part of me wanted Jason to mark Kimberly and part of me didn't, cause she had just regained her independence and found her strength. Great story ?

The Hidden She-Wolf

The Hidden She-Wolf

I couldn't wait to start learning everything I had missed out on because of the Grey Pack. Within a few minutes, Madison came into the living room with a box of strange things. "What are those?" I asked curiously. "These are books that I'm going to use to help you read, but first I'll have to teach you the alphabet and the sounds of the letters." I nodded. Madison placed the box beside her and took out a small book that had beautiful and colorful pictures inside. "This is A, and A is for an apple," she said. I smiled and nodded.

Kingdom Ranch: Western romance

I watch amused as her forehead creases, she’s thinking hard and the smile as she takes the copy of Sam Wu is Not Afraid of Ghosts. “I like the cover.” Her eyes are bright and full of curiosity. “Thank you,” mouths the mother as the girl starts going through the illustrations on the back. “Say goodbye to Ms. Rebecca.” “Goodbye, and thank you, Ms. Rebecca.” She runs ahead clutching her new favorite toy for the next couple of days. My best customers these days are the small children that every other day for reading time. We sit in a circle and grab a few books to read out loud. Right now we are reading together Argh! Contracted to the Uncrowned King

Contracted to the Uncrowned King

"I like to add to the collection every once in a while for my own purposes, but the books that will be most useful to you have been here since I was born." I scanned the shelves until I found the first volume of the primers I learned to read the language form. I pulled the first primer from the shelf and handed it to him. “You’ll need to start here,” I told him. “Learning the alphabet first.” He took the book with so much reverence and awe in his eyes and cradled the book in his hands. His fingers brushed over the pages, tracing the unfamiliar letters.

Bound by blood and moonlight

Bound by blood and moonlight

Blank paper, a writing tool and a thin book with simple illustrations. "Can you write your name?" "No." "Read any words at all?" "No." Shame heated my face. "Reading is forbidden for humans in wolf territories. I never had the chance to learn." "Then we begin at the beginning." Elias's tone held no judgment. "This is the alphabet. Twenty six letters that combine to form every word in our language." He wrote them across the top of the page in a fine handwriting. "We will learn five today. By the end of the week you will know them all."
