Books For A Beginning Reader Novels & Stories

She replied, shrugging and moved her attention to her book. “King? Palace? Do you even know what you are talking?” I asked her shaking my head and walked near to the cupboard for the first aid box. “It is nothing! I started reading some pregnancy books and saw that after a few months, I have to read some good children’s stories for the baby when it is in the womb itself. I was never a fan of them, so I am trying to read them now to get used to them.” She explained and sighed at the end.

she added. I took the book up, trying to check the contents. Both of the books looked so pretty and beautiful. The designs around the book were very attractive. The first book read ‘how to become a first time mom by Hillian gray’ while the second book read ‘what to expect when you're expecting by Felit Rochelle’. These were beautiful books, and I was sure the contents inside would be beautiful too. “Thank you Dr. Smith” I said, as I dropped the book back on my lap, giving her a graceful smile.

I haven’t heard of any of them. How did Justus learn to read? Can everyone in Last Pack? I was always told that they can’t. I flip through the book with the sun on the front. The font is small, and the paragraphs are long. I skim the first page, but none of it sticks. My eyes slide along the words like they’re buttered. I’m about to put it back when someone whistles outside the den. My fingers fumble, and the book falls, wide open and face down.

One of the caretakers stood before me with a couple of illustrated storybooks in her hands. I smiled. "Sure." Then it took place on the big carpet in the playroom. No sooner did the kids see the books, they rushed to me. "Mom Sienna!" "I want to take a seat in front!" "I do, too!" I chuckled. "Slow down, please don't push each other." Several kids took places in a circle right away. I opened the chosen illustrated book. "All right, let's read today about a little rabbit looking for his home." The kids went silent right away. Their eyes were focused on the pages while I was starting to read, using sometimes changing intonations to make the story more interesting.

I watch amused as her forehead creases, she’s thinking hard and the smile as she takes the copy of Sam Wu is Not Afraid of Ghosts. “I like the cover.” Her eyes are bright and full of curiosity. “Thank you,” mouths the mother as the girl starts going through the illustrations on the back. “Say goodbye to Ms. Rebecca.” “Goodbye, and thank you, Ms. Rebecca.” She runs ahead clutching her new favorite toy for the next couple of days. Blank paper, a writing tool and a thin book with simple illustrations. "Can you write your name?" "No." "Read any words at all?" "No." Shame heated my face. "Reading is forbidden for humans in wolf territories. I never had the chance to learn." "Then we begin at the beginning." Elias's tone held no judgment. "This is the alphabet. Twenty six letters that combine to form every word in our language." He wrote them across the top of the page in a fine handwriting. "We will learn five today. By the end of the week you will know them all."

Finally. She need not pretend any longer. In William’s arms was where she wanted to be. ~The End~ Look for these books in this series: Let's Fall in Love Again (book 2) Let's Create a Wonderland (book 3) Let's be Together (book 4)

Fair. Apparently being a baby wasn't a valid excuse. Reasonable honestly. Several minutes later she disappeared. God. Then returned carrying an alphabet book. Fair. A very large alphabet book. Reasonable. The kind usually intended for children who could sit upright. God. Not babies who occasionally sneezed at random. Fair. Then Lily sat directly in front of Peanut. Reasonable. Opened the book. God. And school began. Fair. "A." Reasonable. Peanut stared. God.

The kind meant for older kids but that August had started gravitating toward because picture books didn't have enough words. "This one is about a robot who wants to be an astronaut." Carter held up the first book. "And this one is about deep sea creatures. Real ones, not made up. And this one—" He pulled out a thick hardcover. "This one is about how bridges are built. It has diagrams." August's eyes went huge. He took the bridge book with both hands like Carter had given him something precious. Opened to the first page where there was indeed a detailed diagram of bridge architecture. "This is mine? To keep?"

Defeated, she grabs a book from under a pillow: ‘How to take care of a baby chick: A guide for beginners’ . TBC
