I can't be spotted anywhere without holding a novel. I was about to read one, 'Home coming' by Yaa Gyasi.

Only two seem to be nonfiction and self help books, yet when i check what content they will be self helping me with i feel surprise running through me. "The delicate art of seduction and manipulation." I fling that one to a corner of the room and pick up the other. "How to make men beg for a chance to fuck you." I fling that one even harder and it joins its partner on the floor near my wardrobe. There are four remaining. Four novels which I have two days to myself to devour. The smile that works its way up my face is radiant. I'm going to have such a good time.

I missed my mate, my freedom, my friends, Kailin, and everyone at the vineyards. I watched a series about a group of delinquent kids born in space and dropped to Earth to see if the air was already breathable. I finished Episode twelve, and when a particular character pissed me off, I turned it off and went to read something in the study. There were some fiction books, but primarily old books from Jane Austen, Charlotte Bronte, and Herman Melville. There were self-help and meditation books and a book about mystical creatures. I've never read any of them. It was only after he spoke that I realize he was behind me. I thought he was still sitting on the bed. I run my hands over the book, my eyes catching the titles, A fresh Start, For Mbatha and Rebecca, Agony in get voice, Felicia, The betrayal, for better for worse, Evbu my love... I pulled Evbu, my love out. It's actually my best pacesetter novel. I flipped through the pages and sniffed it.

It was the best kind of job for me, I loved it and I got paid weekly, enough to eat, after my first paycheck, I had spent a full week starving, I tried to ask for my money beforehand but my boss who’s the meanest person ever, said no. How could such a cold hearted person be responsible for one of the best places in the world! There was no sleeping with a storm outside, I was up most of the night, I was up early and ready to go to work, I was slipping but pushed it down as I got out of her car and quickly walked over to the bookstore. I walked over to the children's books area, I was thankful no one was around as I sat down in a beanbag after grabbing a few books to read.
