It not like it’s normal see someone on fire was normal but he said nothing. I will think about that later not now. I do not go to my dorm. I go straight to the library. The forbidden section smells old and heavy, like dust and secrets layered on top of each other. I search shelf after shelf, pulling out books on elemental magic, ancient bloodlines, cursed abilities, fire wielders, forbidden hybrids. Nothing matches. Nothing talks about blue fire. Frustration claws at my chest until my fingers brush against a thick, worn book shoved far back on a lower shelf.

Jake stopped, getting back to his matter, “never mind. I wanted to show you this...” He slid out the book and placed it at the large table which was furthest in that part of the library. “Great, you joined a cult!” Matt scoffed. “What is it?” Gabriel asked, observing the strange symbol on it. “Well, I don't know, yet.” “What do you mean, you don't know?” came Gabriel, “I think a book’s supposed to be opened to know what it is...” “Ok,this is going to sound insane but when I opened it, fire came out of it, literally!”

I may not have much but I'd like to keep a hold on my dignity. I kick a small pebble that skitters into the darkness of the pavement as I walk down, I hear festive sounds coming from the pub at the end of this street but I ignore it.
