Chapter Two – Game of Control The penthouse glowed with soft light, the city a distant hum beyond the windows, but the heat between us was a inferno, the game intensifying. Finally, he glanced up, his piercing gaze settling on me with that infuriating calmness. "It's not the armor," he said, holding the book open to a page covered in strange diagrams. "It's your energy. You're letting it spill out in every direction, like a leaky bucket. If you don't control it, the armor will feel like it weighs a ton." "I am controlling it!" I snapped, though I had no idea what he was talking about. "And what's with the book? Am I supposed to read my way into becoming some mystical energy master?"

"Because I’m not some weak, helpless girl you can control." His smirk widened. "No, you’re not." He took a step closer, and my breath hitched. His fingers brushed a stray strand of hair from my face, his touch deceptively gentle. "You think I scare you," he mused, tilting his head. "But I don’t, do I?" I swallowed hard, refusing to look away. "I think you’re a control-obsessed psychopath who enjoys playing games." Kael chuckled, his eyes glinting with amusement. "Maybe. But admit it…" He leaned in, his breath warm against my ear. "Part of you likes the game."

What he needed most is the strength of all his senses. Suddenly, a loud voice has been heard, “Welcome everyone to the most-awaited, ‘Game of Fangs and Death’. Remember, this game is for five nights and only one among our twenty-two players will survive. The winner as a prize will be given a free pass and will be led to a secret passage, away from here, and at the end of that secret passage is the ocean where one of the submarines of the Alpha Pharoah is being docked and waiting for him.”

Ian looked quite sophisticated, well he was older than him so probably working, it would make sense but really, he had that charm. He looked up at me momentarily before going back to what he was looking for in the bag. He brought out a control that was rectangular. It had joy sticks, a couple buttons and also a screen. It looks like a gameplay, perhaps a nintendo. Then he pulled out a tiny box from which came a tiny.. Fly? Is this a time to be playing video games? That was my first thought but of course it wasn’t the case. I wait to see what purpose it really served.

Taking out one, I closed back the drawer and walked down to the garage where I put the contact in the glove compartment of my car so I don’t forget it. Walking into my room, my eyes landed on one of the books Nyla was reading while she was here. Walking up closer, I picked it up and saw that it was one of the books from my library titled “Controlling Her Every Pleasure.” This book was one of my favorites, as it tells the story of a woman and a man exploring new things in their sexual relationship that had died after she had a baby.
