I shook my head incredulously. She fucking can't tell everything to them. They're our things. No. This time I can't live her so easily. She thinks she can control me but she doesn't know that I let her control myself. She hasn't seen my strictest dom side yet, that's why she is doing this. But now it's time to show her that side too. Because the answer had been forming slowly over hours. Not as certainty. As realization. I turned slightly toward him. “We’re not looking for who is in control,” I said quietly. Lucas frowned slightly. “Then what?” I looked back at the lake. “We’re looking for what happens when control stops being singular.” A pause. Then I added: “And becomes recursive.” Lucas didn’t respond. Because he understood. That meant there was no center to destabilize. No enemy to remove. No structure to break cleanly. Only feedback loops.

“You think this game is just about appearances?” I lean back in my chair, hands resting calmly on the table, fingers intertwined. “This game,” I say slowly, “is only about control. About preventing chaos. About protecting the one thing that matters.” Her eyes narrow slightly, lips pressed together. For a moment, I almost respect her persistence. Almost. “You’re dangerous,” she says finally. “You always were. But so was I.” I let a small smirk cross my face. “Then you’ll understand when I say this again,” I pause, voice low and sharp, “leave the country. Or you won’t leave at all.”
