He hums. I continue speaking. “You know, almost the same thing happens in every romantic movie. Still, it’s just so…perfect. The whole meetcute, love at first sight, enemies to lovers, fake relationships. All those cliche troupes are the best. I just can’t get enough of them.” I continue talking. “Then something silly and inconsequential happens and they have a big fight.” Ronan mumbles.

It felt good. After dinner, we moved to the couch. Roman pulled me into his lap, but it wasn’t sexual. He just held me, one hand stroking my back while the other played with my curls. We watched a silly rom-com on his massive TV, commenting on how unrealistic it was, laughing at the cheesy lines. At one point, I turned in his lap to face him, straddling his thighs. I kissed him softly — not demanding, just affectionate. He kissed me back the same way, hands resting respectfully on my waist, never pushing for more.

I still got something to do back home. Thankfully, she was understanding this time. The clock almost strikes 10 pm and Rosa decided that it was a good time for the both of us to relax by watching some movie.
