I feel like novels that bring out strong emotions in you are the best novels, the ones that you can't put down, the ones that make you laugh out loud, the ones you want to throw across the room and rip out the pages, and lastly the ones that make you cry. Those are ones that truly hit you, render you speechless, and make you think about it for days after.

I giggled. "I think I'll read it too then." "You should. What's the next book?" "ENTER THE DRAGON by CLIVE CUSSLER." All the books were marked with a white X by the side so they were easier to find and place side by side. "Finally. YOU SHOULD HAVE KNOWN by JEAN HAFF KORELITZ." "That one's deep." All the books had one thing in common: they all had sprinkles and bits of thrillers in them.

"How did you know I'd find it interesting?" Ernest appeared to consider the question with genuine care. "You said something in the first week — about the library. That the room permitted certain kinds of thinking that the office didn't. I've been thinking about that observation since." He nodded at the book. "The author makes a similar argument.
