And so, for the third time, he picked the book and made a brief prayer in his head before unfurling the book. As the book approached its end, the more bewitching it became. Roman realized he was having the urge to sleep, but he couldn't. He wouldn't. And there it was… unlike a typical novel with its ending where the main lead got what he wanted and deserved, this book's conclusion had a notable similitude to its commencement. He became more confused. He turned the book cover and gazed at the front, glancing through the tiny writings that appeared to be written with blood. But he couldn't understand them.

"Mom, Noah and Heidi are together. He's only marrying me to repay the debt he owes me from years ago. But they're delusional if they think I'd ever accept a secondhand, filthy man. "Mom, forgive me for leaving without saying goodbye, but don't worry. I'll live well. Far better than I ever would be married to Noah." … The letter only mentioned Noah and Heidi once. The rest was mostly instructions and reassurances for her parents. By the time Eliana finished reading, tears were streaming down her face. She covered her mouth, too choked up to speak. "Why? Noah, why did you cheat on her? You treated her so well, didn't you? Was it all fake?"

“The room is changing.” Everyone turned. The room beyond the doorway looked brighter now. Warmer. More alive. The shadows had disappeared. The window glowed with silver-gold light. And the book itself no longer seemed ancient. It seemed unfinished. Waiting. Arthur noticed it too. “The pages.” Silence. Several blank pages had appeared after the written ones. Empty. Ready. Ama stared at them. A strange ache filled her chest. Not sorrow. Possibility. The book wasn't ending. It was waiting for a continuation.

And just a little while later, she could no longer remember saying such a thing. Thank you to everyone who's enjoyed Atlas and Jia's journey. I originally had a different ending, but due to some feedback over the last three months, I've decided I would remove the final portion of the original scene and leave it like this instead. I understand wanting to end a book with a final sense of closure, so enjoy this modified ending. Some stories end on that note, and then get a sequel before their happy ending.” That was good then. They could survive. He pushed one leg to the bed and took her hand. They said nothing. She pulled her hand from his and wrapped her arms around her middle.

“Yes.” But her voice shook, Because she wasn’t sure anymore. The Author stepped forward. In its hands: a closed book. Her real story. Not the one she’d rewritten. Not the one she bled into. This one was untouched. Complete. And sealed. If opened, it would end everything. It was the version where Kael never came back. Where Liolai didn’t survive the rupture. Where Liora died on the battlefield of a fate she never asked for. The Author extended the book to her, A quiet, final offer. No violence Just relief. From grief, From guilt. From carrying so much story alone.

Only one hand raised, and I’d know those eyes anywhere. I know this isn't the ending you were expecting or probably hoping for but it's so beautiful and leaves the story open for a second book if any of you readers are interested in continuing the Abby and Damien story at all? I walked around and saw all the books that were on the bookshelves. Everything is organized in alphabetic order, and each stack was organized into different genres. How can someone be so organized? I picked up a book that caught my attention and went to Aaron’s desk. I know that this is all wrong, and if Aaron finds out, he is going to kill me, but I couldn't resist all these books. I wore his jacket, and his scent covered me and made me more relaxed. Why does he make me feel this way? As much as I am scared when I am around him, he still manages to make me feel something I have never felt before. God, what is he doing to me? I started reading the book, and I wrapped myself in his jacket.
