Booktok Box Advent Calendar Novels & Stories

I turned to the box and guessed it was a present from someone so I opened it up. There were a few things inside of it . A really oversized looking gray cardigan, a sundress, a locket, a picture frame of my family and I, a bedtime story book for kids, then a photo album that says babies on the front cover. No doubt these are all gifts from all the people I care about. A smile came to my face once again as I packed up the box and went back down the stairs. Everyone was holding a glas of wine and when I got there Meredith handed me one too.

Arthur says wistfully with a smile on his face. I love the idea of a Christmas activity advent calendar and want to do this for our pack. “How big is the advent calendar? Who opens the day and reads the activity? Where do you keep the advent calendar?” I begin asking a series of questions, desperate to know more. “We have a large board prepared with little doors; we have a few to rotate them. There are usually 20-30 pups in the pack each year. Every November 31st, the advent calendar is placed in the dining hall, and letters are delivered to each pup informing them of the date they will be opening this year. This means we enjoy breakfast together every morning as a pack. Once everyone has ea

I push inside and start searching. Nightstand first. Nothing but lip balm and an old phone charger. Under the mattress. Empty. Closet. Just clothes. I drop to my knees, check under the bed. Dust. Then I see the wooden crate in the corner. The books Madeline sent. They’re stacked neat except one that’s tilted sideways, like someone dropped it in a hurry. I crawl over, pull the tilted book out. Old leather cover. No title. I flip it open. Halfway in, big black letters jump out.

“I got you something.” Sade looked up at him, surprised. “You didn’t have to,” she said, her voice touched with curiosity. A small smile played at the corners of his lips. “It’s nothing big. Just a little something, a small gesture.” He reached into the pocket of his trousers, and from it, he pulled out a small, elegantly wrapped box. The gold paper gleamed in the light, delicate and understated, and he handed it to her with care. Sade felt a rush of warmth in her chest. “Adamo, you’re really too kind.” She slowly unwrapped the box, revealing a beautiful gold cross pendant. The design was simple but elegant, the gleaming metal catching the faint light of the hallway.

It was a different thing if they were gifted. Opening the package, the librarian marvelled at the tasteful packaging. The box looked exquisite, nothing like raunchy third-rate toys made from possibly a sweatshop factory in China. It rivalled those expensive branded perfumes from high-end shopping districts. Already, she had high expectations for the limited edition vibrator set the company promised the participants of their No Nut November Challenge.

I removed the cellphone from the box and placed it beside the book on my table so I could read the note. Read the book before you open the phone. The password is my birthday. I am hoping you will remember it. Love, Your Lexi. That was it. Nothing else. No snakes and no curse book. Why would she send me a novel to read? I don't have enough time to be reading a novel. I have a lot of things to review. I removed the box from my table and threw it in the bin next to my table. I pushed the book and phone aside and decided to read it later when I am less busy.

I tried my best to become a model student and made a few friends. I was an introvert by default and hence spent most of my time browsing through the various skills left by my parents. I was browsing through it when I found a wooden box stashed high on the shelf. I took the box out and opened it. There were only two contents within it. One was an old yet pristine book, while the other was a thin pendant with a strange circular symbol. What intrigued me was the condition of the book even after the box was left to rot. I opened it up and began reading.

Despite my feigned annoyance at their secrecy, I was touched by whatever they had planned. "You didn't have to get me anything," I said softly. "Just having this time together is enough." Theo's expression softened. "It's not exactly a gift. More of a... precursor to Christmas." Noah placed the box in my hands. "Open it." The paper came away easily, revealing a white box beneath. I lifted the lid and gasped at what lay inside—five sets of matching pajamas, each in deep crimson silk with delicate gold festive embroidery. I lifted one set, noting the subtle differences in size and style—clearly one set for me and one for each of my Kings.

Winter solstice is seriously my favorite holiday. I mean, this will be the first time I get to celebrate it. In the past, I was responsible for wrapping all the gifts for the Silver Moon pack Winter Solstice party. One year, there was an extra gift left over, so Beta Tate let me have it after everyone had left. It was a box of chocolate truffles. There were eight in the box. Each one had a different flavor filling, and I savored every bite. I knew I would never get another gift again, but that one meant the world to me. It didn't matter to ten-year-old Kas that it was just a forgotten box. It was special to me.

Kylie I added the little black stub to the baby book. We'd brought our baby home ten days ago and the umbilical cord fell off today. I remember getting this gorgeous book at the baby shower Analiese and Roberta had thrown for me. I had immediately come home and sat at the thrift store dining table to add all the details I knew so far. Mom and Dad's names, pictures of our first ultra-sound. Various names we had picked and discarded. My cravings during the pregnancy. They weren't too wild. Ice cream and tacos. Every time I ate avocados while pregnant I wanted to puke. I didn't have much morning sickness, like some women. I got nausea every once in a while, but I didn't throw up for months on e
