Adrian drew in a long breath, hitched his shoulder and cocked his head. “No.” “What? You can't back out of a challenge.” He was about to leave, so I quickly blocked him from walking away. “Don't tell me the big bad Adrian Volkov is too chicken to compete with me.” He let out a sad scoff. “I only accept real challenges, not one from a wimp like you.” That shook more laughter from the guys around This encounter was my one chance to prove myself and let them stop treating me like some pushover. I can't let it slip

Chasity looked at me in bewilderment. “No, the challenge is over.” I confirmed. “Uh, actually she can, if the pack votes on letting her continue.” I heard Eric speak up and I quickly turned him. “No.” I linked him. Not caring that there was a loophole that Brook could get around. I didn’t want her to continue. She was seriously injured, there was no way she could continue in this condition. “If more than fifty percent of the pack agrees, Brook can reinstate the challenge to defend her title as the future Luna.” Eric said, ignoring me.

Lilith was quick to cut Benjamin off, taunting him into accepting her challenge. “May I remind you Alpha Benjamin that as I am hosting this year’s meeting, I have the power to either dissolve your pack or claim it as my own should you refuse.” The room fell silent all eyes falling on Benjamin. “This challenge isn’t official. She isn’t of Alpha blood so by law doesn’t have a leg to stand on and neither does your little threat of absorbing my pack” You could literally see the cogs turning as he tried to think of any way possible to back out of the challenge.

“You’ve entered our world, Elena. And the first rule is survival.” I swallowed hard, my throat dry. Survival. Theo stepped back, signaling for me to step forward. “You’ll face three challenges,” he said. “Each one will test your strength, your will, and your loyalty. Only if you pass all three will you be considered one of us.” My head spun. Three challenges. I wasn’t sure if I was ready for this. “Do I get to know what they are first?” I asked, trying to sound more confident than I felt.

"Maybe you should dare Janice to do a hundred challenges. Who knows? You might fall for her all over again. "You two have been friends since you were kids. You're perfect for each other." Seth spoke with a hurt tone. "Nevaeh, I don't like her. Just tell me: do I still have a chance?" "Why don't you ask your uncle if he's willing to give up his wife for his nephew? "Seth, can you please stop being gross?" With that, I hung up quickly and blocked Seth's number. Later, he actually went to see Draven.

“A challenge? You can’t issue a challenge right now.” My gaze shifts in his direction as a smirk pulls at the corner of my lips. “Technically, yes I can, as long as it isn’t my brother’s pack. Any other pack is wide open for the taking and I already claimed his while he was gone. Might as well kill him off so it’s truly mine.” Before Micah can refuse the challenge, Barrett stands beside me. “He’s right. If he wants a challenge, then you have to grant it. It’s in the rules.”

He was thinking who would really be the male Alpha. "No one should be born to be the King of Alpha, if that happens I can no longer do anything." Lex exclaimed to himself while he hit the table with his hand. "Or maybe he would kill me rather if I may not follow him." Lex continues with his thoughts regarding the King of Alpha and then he shook off his head to get out of that thought. Senan who were reading a book at that time but his mind was occupied with the female Alpha. "Just incase I will not be the father of the King Alpha. What if I will kill one of my brother so no one will be a King?" Senan whispered those words in his self thinking about how would be anle to resolve his problem.

I was uncertain whether I could overcome it or if I'd ultimately yield to it. My pulse quickened, and my thoughts waged war against each other. Resisting the bond became increasingly difficult. I fixed my determined gaze on Ray and urged, "If you genuinely care about me, you'll break this bond. I can't be with you after everything you've put me through." Tony interrupted, saying, "I challenge you." Taken aback, I turned to Tony with wide eyes, pleading, "No, Tony, please don't do this." His jaw was clenched, and his determination was clear. Challenging for alpha wasn't the only type of challenge within packs; one could also challenge for a mate. It was an archaic and repulsive practice, men

“The Elder Council acknowledges that Sophie Turner has passed the Wisdom Challenge.” Even Elder Sarah had to nod, though she looked like it physically hurt. Christian's pride hit me through the bond like a tidal wave. I caught his eye across the hall. He was smiling—really smiling—and the warmth in his expression made my chest tight. “The Strength Challenge will commence in three days,” Elder Thompson announced. “Luna candidate Sophie Turner will face pack warriors in formal combat trials.” The hall buzzed with excitement. I was still floating on the high of success when I returned to my suite.

"During the presentation. A bloodrite challenge." "What's that?" Beatrice asked as her face went pale. "Trial by combat," I explained. "To the death or forfeit. If someone challenges your claim publicly, you have to fight or give up everything." "Who?" Darius demanded, his wolf was in his voice. "Who's going to challenge her?" "We don't know," I admitted. "But it's Damon's plan. He's been coordinating with someone. Probably a strong fighter from his coalition." "Can she refuse?" Darius asked.
