Novel & Cerita Booktok Fantasy Book Checklist

I knew what was in most fantasy books: fantastical creatures and places, protagonist wins via antagonist revealing plans in some way, damsel in distress, adventure, conclusion, blah boring blah. "Where's mental illness?" "Where are parent MC's?" "Where's the government structure in fantasy books?" "Where's the tie in between worlds?" "Where's the villain who knows not to brag about their plan?" These were things I asked. So after years I created the universe, governments (loosely,) characters, plot and began. I had 5 books completed after 7 years but decided to read through it all. I did not like what I read.

Willow nods, she knows it will be. “I know; that’s why I’m putting several spells on it. One to hide the contents from anyone who hasn’t been given permission, one to bind the book closed so only I can open it, and another to make it invisible to everyone's eye when I’m not using it.” She has thought about it all, she will ensure no one can get into it.

“You shouldn’t, I should. I left home to be on the lookout for Danshak’s safety and that is exactly what I am going to do.” “Ugh!” Zorraya groaned as Erin began to run off toward the thick of the battle where their mates were fighting demonic creatures that were even more dangerous than anyone could fathom. “Wait!” She called out to Erin, running after her. ******** Even as the beasts dropped dead around him, Danshak could not shake the feeling that something was strangely wrong. The werewolves outnumbered Nikjin’s night creatures and they were fueled by rage and revenge, but it seemed a little too odd that as the beasts were dropping dead, more of their kind weren’t showing up to replace th

Chapter One: We're Going To The Kingdom

Long milky blonde hair with a pair of red-violet eyes that can drown you into a bottomless pit, reddish lips, and a milky white complexion. This is not me! Clearly not Nina Facelo! And like a flashback. My whole life before I came here, started flowing. From school, going to a nearby bookstore to buy the most awaited book that my friends recommended to me. And I, trying to be a hero and ended up dying in a dark alley on the second street. Illuminating Darkness! That's the title! That's the book that I want to read! I didn't sleep peacefully instead I died young! And to add salt to the wounds. I am now in the body of the most wicked Dame in the Kingdom! The suspected villainess of the famous

“You are right. But I'll stay up late to see who's sitting in my room without my will.” “We’d better see your books.” Johnny checked the books in Elizabeth’s hand. In the pile of book prepared for the girl there were: Encyclopedia of magical eras, from the beginning to the present day, Find out what others have done ... and become a better wizard, by Mark Zitter Geography of magical places and unknown fantastic areas, Beaten tracks ... and uncommon roads, by Julia Simens Beasts rarely seen ... or never met, Seen in dream ... in dim mindset, by Hans von Kilberg

As usual, all the students are looking at us, mostly looking at Cream or the others, no one ever really looks at me or maybe I can't see it because I'm always looking at the floor but all of a sudden when Coco suddenly turns and says "Ah, Caramel!" I jump a little, Cream's hand being the only thing holding in me place as I say "Y-Yeah?" He's carrying up his phone "A fanfiction about us both is ranking number one in fanfic on W*****d!" A visible cringe shows on my face as I say "U-Us?" Chocolate turns around completely, now walking backwards as he says "Yep! Me and you! Yeah, yeah, I know I can't like kiss you or whatever but in this book, you really like sex! Which isn't a lie, you literally

“This one weaves mystery and magic, but underneath, it’s a story about trust and power.” Her face softened. “I’ll take it.” As I wrapped the book, another man stepped in, younger, sharp-eyed, dressed in a rumpled suit. His gaze swept the shelves with a hunger I recognized all too well. “Looking for something… thrilling,” he said, voice low. I leaned forward slightly. “Try The Silent Corner, it’s about secrets that change everything.” He nodded, brows furrowed, then murmured, “Secrets change everything.” The bell jingled again. A teenager, headphones around his neck, glanced nervously at the counter. “Uh, do you have any fantasy? Like with dragons?”

I fold my legs beneath me, and bring out my phone. A book can keep my awake so I surf the internet. Quickly I see a lot of fantasy books, but I’ve never really gravitated towards those. I don’t know what pushes me though. Maybe I’m just tired of being oblivious or my mother’s thesis, or the strange recurrences, I click on the first book I see and buy it. It takes only a second. I scroll past the forward and settle on the first chapter.

Anything to change the conversation before she starts rambling on about the bucket list she wants to fulfill with Rowan. “Tales of the Moonlight,” She repeated the book’s title with a bit of dryness in her voice. “It’s a fantasy book.” “You like reading fantasy?” I held my hand out for her to give me the book. “Is it kid-rated though?” She hummed as she handed it over for me to inspect. “Uncle Ro bought it for me.” I closed the book in a flash, making the poor object yowl with a slapping sound. Rowan, again.
