*Third POV* “Just open, JUST OPEN THE FREAKING DOOR!! Someone, please help! Please, I don't want to stay here. Zane’s voice was not exactly aggressive, but the sound of it made me freeze. He stood in the doorway, his expression completely blank. It seemed like he had washed up after training as his hair was damp. But his eyes were sharp. I tried to close the booklet, but my hands fumbled. It slipped from my grip and fell open on the floor between us. “I…” My voice cracked. “I was just—” “Just what?” He stepped inside and closed the door behind him. The sound of the lock clicking felt like a signal for me to bolt out of the room. “Looking through my things?”

She had been reading for about two hours before a loud bang snapped her to look towards the main door. She was quick to sit up and stare anxiously as the door finally opened, Shobek trotted in and slammed the door closed. Her fear dissipated as she watched him stroll over to the bed and flop down on it. She carefully checked the page number she was on and set the book down on the coffee table.

I tilted my head, giving a small nod. Kyle reached out and pressed the spine of a blue book. It shifted. Slide inward. A soft, mechanical click followed, and the entire bookshelf trembled before slowly pulling away—revealing a hidden door concealed behind it. My breath caught. Kyle stepped closer, gripping the golden doorknob. He twisted it twice in opposite directions. Click. The sound echoed softly in the stillness. Then, with a long, creaking sigh— the door opened. My jaw fell open the moment I stepped inside.

LAZARUS Lazarus wasn't as friendly due to the action he took. This I suppose. I was wondering why he would have taken his steps behind to let me face my detriment alone. The momentum which I had used initially in opening the door had reduced as I was ready to hear the next word squeal. The hinges of the door screeched and finally opened. Thomas' face was a bit weary and deeply focused on the book which he placed right in front of him as he had crossed his legs comfortably in his reading position.

Probably thinking I will bite his head off again. Snapping out of it, because I didn’t want to talk about it to any of them right now, I turned the door knob and we walked inside. It was just like I remembered it. Walking right up to the bookcase, I grabbed the book that was the secret latch. The bookcase squeaked as it moved open, causing fresh dust to fall off the shelves and to the floor. I looked back and Jaxson and Mason were standing there with their mouths open. Ted wasn’t in the room so I just assumed Jaxson told him to stay guard. I didn’t think much about it.

"Hi, this is Kent Liam's room right?" I asked the man leaning against the door. He nodded and called someone inside. After a while, Kent Liam came out carrying my book. The bookmark is still there. It looks like he didn't even open it or take care of it. "Hi." I greeted him with a smile. "Hi, here's your book." He answered as he reached for the book he was holding. I accepted that with a smile. I felt like everything was in slow motion when he stared at me for a moment.

It’s a slim tome, at least a hundred pages, I hope he wrote more about his sisters’ life, thumbing through the pages, the things I could learn, I turn to leave at the same time door slips open, my head snaps up and the book slams shut, “Z-Zayne” I inhaled as his large form fills the doorway. “I’ve been waiting for you” I announce, book forgotten. He enters the room and shuts the door behind him, then proceeds to lean against the door.
