kisses of vengeance

kisses of vengeance

After he had gotten on it, he helped me up. With the anger that had filled him, he rode violently back through the narrow path, the horse galloping as if it wanted to tear the ground apart. As we got back to Alpha Jake's Fort, we headed straight to the chamber. Right behind the door, after we had opened it, was a book on the ground. It wasn't just any book, I could tell it was familiar while looking at it from my standing position. It was opened and it seemed like someone had just written on the last page, waiting for the ink to dry up.

Marked for me

They become rabid and dangerous to themselves and others. "Looks like you made yourself at home already," a voice said. The book fell from my hands in shock. I was so engrossed in reading the book that I didn't hear the sound of his footsteps. I stood up to look at him at the entrance. He stood there resting on the door frame with his legs crossed.

The Rejected True Heiress

The Rejected True Heiress

By the time I started walking again, my chest was tight and my fingers ached from how hard I’d been holding the book. I’d exited out the last door and through the gardens, and sure enough, out by the limo, there he was. Zane. He was leaning against the car door like he’d been there for hours, arms crossed, head tipped back, looking for all the world like he didn’t have a care. “Took you long enough. Find what you needed?” he asked, his smirk practiced, easy. I didn’t slow down. I shoved him off the door with one hand and yanked it open. “Take me home. Now.”

Great story and characters. Absolutely hooked! However do feel like the story is dragging on a bit and when you feel like its coming to a close something else happens and it starts all over again. Hoping its coming to a end soon and MC gets her happy ending.

Alpha's One Night Bride

Alpha's One Night Bride

He nodded slowly and before he could say anything more, the bedroom door swung open. Erick and Jess stood at the doorway; they were both breathless, so we knew they were running. Jess held one of the thickest books I had ever seen; it was a large brown book with golden decals swirled throughout the cover. In the front of the book, in a silvery oval was a white infinity symbol I didn’t quite recognize and then written in white above the symbol read: Book of Magic. “Woah…” I breathed, staring at the book. It was real.

Suddenly i became a goddess!

Suddenly i became a goddess!

"Let's just say I have a soft spot for troublemakers." Before I could respond, he turned and disappeared into the shadows, leaving me standing there, heart pounding once again. I slipped into my room, locking the door behind me, and leaned against it, clutching the book. Veryon had helped me. And somehow, despite everything, I couldn't shake the feeling that this wouldn't be the last time. Once inside my chamber, I leaned against the door, exhaling a shaky breath. The room was quiet, the faint scent of the fruits still lingering in the air. My grip on the ancient book loosened, and I set it carefully on the table, my thoughts racing.

My Husband Wants Me Dead

My Husband Wants Me Dead

Kevin heard Clark's response clearly and reached for the third bookshelf in the bedroom. "Clark, something's not right! It won't open!" Kevin conveyed his confusion to Clark via a video call. Clark pointed to a book in front of Kevin and said, "Book." Kevin didn't initially understand why Clark mentioned the book. Nevertheless, he gently moved the book as suggested, and a hidden door, cleverly disguised as a bookshelf, slowly opened. Upon seeing the hidden door, Kevin couldn't help but exclaim in his mind, 'Damn! There really is a secret room!'

Trapped By The Billionaire Brothers

Trapped By The Billionaire Brothers

Julian’s taste in books was exactly what I expected. I sat down at the table and flipped it open anyway. The pages were full of charts and explanations about company mergers and market control. Complicated. Dense. And strangely interesting. I had barely finished reading two pages when a voice behind me said, “That’s a terrible book to start with.” I looked up. Leo leaned against the doorway, arms crossed, watching me with an amused expression. “Are you following me now?” I asked. “No,” he said casually. “I live here too, remember?”

Alpha's Second Choice

came a voice from behind her. Jo yelped, slamming the book shut so fast it sent a cloud of dust puffing into the air. She lurched upright— —but the ridiculous pink chair clung stubbornly to her backside. She flailed, kicking and twisting, arms pinwheeling uselessly. A low, amused chuckle rumbled from the doorway. Jo finally freed herself with an undignified squeak and spun around. The man leaning casually against the doorframe was tall, broad-shouldered, with sun-roughened skin and a scar slashing through one thick eyebrow.
