Novel & Cerita Boring Books For Bedtime

I haven’t had to look at the gun for over a year now, but at times like these, it is needed. I needed to sleep, but I knew that it wouldn’t come that easily. The best thing for me to do was grab a book and read; that always calmed me, and hopefully, it will help me fall asleep without worrying. I chose one of my favourite books, Persuasion by Jane Austin. I have read it a hundred times, but that doesn’t make me love it any less. I pushed all the bad thoughts aside, getting lost in it, and soon I feel myself drifting off, wishing this is nothing but a bad dream.

I picked one of the books and sat on the chair with Liam on my lap, as I scanned the contents inside the book. The book is all filled with pictures and very few words, but the book seems to grab Liam’s attention as his eyes keep staring at the vibrant-colored pages. “It’s adorable, right,” I said, starting to read the book to Liam, who seemed interested, I guess. But one book was not enough to put this child to sleep, so I read book after book, so much so that even now I’m starting to feel sleepy but Liam she seems very awake for a child as big as my gym bag.

There was something about the warm water and sweet-smelling bubbles that gave me laser focus, making it all too easy to lose myself in a book. My suitcases and boxes were brought up a few minutes later, and I set to unpacking everything. I realized how little I actually had when I placed my five favorite books on the nightstand beside the bed, stuffed my clothes in the gilded dresser, and turned to find myself with nothing left to do. Elijah always joked that I got into the most trouble when I was bored, which is exactly what I tried not to think about as I slipped from the bedroom and wandered down the hall.

He couldn't fall asleep even though he was tired, it felt as if something was stopping him from doing so. After a while of silent staring, he gave up and turned on the lights. He'd just have to study himself to sleep. Pushing himself off the bed, he scrummaged through his backpack and pulled out his history textbook, the most boring subject of them all. He laid it on his desk and began to read. After a few minutes, his eyes drifted off the text and around his bedroom, wandering to different walls and corners. Aiden began to tiredly name objects in his room, mumbling softly as he looked.

"Choose some to read to our baby before bed." Liam's explanation instantly made Harriet's eyes sparkle. She then began to read the pile of novels, some containing compilations of short stories, and others containing long stories about the adventures of teenagers. The soft melody of the harp and the faint sound of Harriet turning the pages of the novel made Liam feel sleepy. His body which was aching as usual made him want to sleep constantly, but this made him very annoyed. Many times he had fallen asleep wanting to spend some quality time with his wife. He didn't want to sleep anymore. He wanted to enjoy this peaceful time a little longer.

“Come on kids! We’re getting late.” With hesitance, I looked over at Brett who refused to meet my eyes. With his head hung low, he got off the bench and walked toward his mother, without bothering to wait for me. Reluctantly, I followed him. Once I reached them, I held up the cover I was holding out to Linda. “What have you got for us, honey?” Linda asked with a smile. “Hello, Linda,” I said. “These are a few of my favourite books and some cookies. My mom used to read these out every day so I could sleep. Little Anne always gets bored and cries at night. You can read them out for her. They are very interesting stories.”

This way I don’t have to carry books everywhere, but I always have something readily available. The books I keep by my bed are ones that I want to read, but can sometimes be a bit slow in parts, so they help me fall asleep. I’m currently reading “Les Misérables” by Victor Hugo. It’s an amazing book, but some of the details can be a bit much. I’ve always preferred fiction, but some parts of Les Mis read more like a history textbook, perfect for those nights I need help falling asleep.

She took a big breath and stared at the ceiling. Shaking her head. She climbed out while turning off the shower. Wrapping the towel around her. Making her way, out of the bathroom. Putting on more comfortable and loose clothes she sat on the bed. Taking out one of her favorite books, ‘The Cabinet of Curiosities (Prendergast, #3) Lincoln Child, Douglas Preston. She was currently on page fifty. It was just past eight. Tiredness stared to overtake her. Leaning back into her pillows she started to doze off. Her eyes started to close, and she fell asleep with her book in her hand.

My hands skimmed the books stacked in the book shelves, and time ticked by painfully slow as I took Alpha Nolan's younger brother's advice and stayed inside the room. It had been over two hours since I slept and woke up on the white and gold bed, so I decided to take a look at all the books that were in the book shelves. The writing on the spines were mostly fading away, gathering dust as they had no use for the people who lived here. I admired some of the old classics and new books as my eyes wandered over every title. I had gathered a stack of books in my hand, picking the ones I wanted to read and taking them out. So far I had five books which were classics that I knew would peak my inter

It felt like time was passing at an exaggeratedly slow pace, and the more I stayed in the room, the smaller the space felt. I was extremely bored, but I was lucky to have some books in the room. Even though I never used to like reading, I took a lot of interest in the books, trying to find one that was interesting to me. “Ugh, none of these even make any sense,” I yelled out, as I threw away three of the books I was looking at. Most of the books were historical and political, which I obviously did not find interesting. The others were sci-fi and gothic, genres I do not enjoy even if I tried reading them.
