I guess to understand my story, We have to start from the beginning. My mother and father longed for a child, despite the dangers my mother never gave up. She was ready to sacrifice everything, and so she did. On the day of my birth she told the doctors to save me instead of her, the toughest decision my father had to endure. I was born blind with bright violet eyes. My blindness wasn't caused by anything or what anyone knows of, it wasn't a problem they could solve either. Trust me my father has tried everything, even for a billionaire to give up meant it was impossible.

Come give mommy a hug,I've missed you so much. My voice lingered in the air, no sounds followed. I blinked rapidly, fighting the tears. “ Maya? Leah?" My throat tightened. I reached out blindly again, even taking another desperate step forward. My palms were open, desperate to touch them, to recognize the shape of their hair, their warmth….anything. “Babies… it’s still me. Mommy’s still here.” I heard no movement,no sounds ,no excited squeals like they used to. And then a small voice,Maya's Voice echoed.“ You're blind, my friends in school would laugh at me. They'll say I have a blind mum … I don't want that.”

Emaline let out a derisive snort but then silently expressed gratitude to herself. The sound of children's voices calling out to her reached her ears, yet she found herself unable to meet their gazes one by one. "I beg your pardon, children. I'm unable to see all of you," she said with a tinge of sorrow in her voice, being blind. “Ohhh!” Their voices uttered the expression, and she heard it. "They are sad," the man whispered once more, addressing his beloved. Disappointment washed over Emaline like a wave, leaving her feeling deflated and disheartened. Alaric possessed the unique ability to lend his eyesight to others, but unfortunately, the present location was not conducive to such an exch

It coated every inch of my being and I found myself leaning dangerously close to him, instead of pulling away. “Why are you leaning so close to me?” He blurted and my eyes widened, immediately realizing that the hell I was doing. I jumped away from him, clearly my throat awkwardly as I lied, “I was just testing how blind you are. Apparently, not blind enough.” “Ouch!” He chuckled. “I'm not sure if that is an insult or not. I am blind in the sense that my vision is blurred out sometimes. I can see things to an extent depending on the lighting. I can see movements, colours, just the blurred version. Same with people.”

Aria "Zane, you weren't born blind." King Kaida said in a tired voice. Aria could see how much he was struggling to continue talking. the slight pain that reflected on his face now and then told her how much having a conversation must have hurt King Kaida. but that didn't take away what he said. His words felt like bombs explored in Aria's ear. She couldn't imagine how Prince Zane felt, he had always known that his blindsight wasn't normal. but he had lived his whole life believing that something was wrong with him because he was born with strange eyes that couldn't see.

I folded, coughing so hard my stomach cramped. Someone grabbed my face and I flinched violently, the world tilting as I was forced upright and the blindfold ripped off. Light burned my eyes and I winced, blinking hard through the blur. Everything doubled. My vision was shit without glasses—smears of shadows and color. But one thing stood out. A man. Massive. Buzzed hair. Covered in ink. Crouching low in front of me, studying me like I was meat on a slab. His fingers dug into my chin and tilted my head to the side.

Just then, I heard the sound of heels outside the door, along with the tap of a cane against the floor. Evelyn was back. I instinctively hid the form behind me, slipping it into the gap in the couch. The door opened to Evelyn stepping in. She carefully felt her way forward while holding her cane. Her acting was terrible. She didn't look anything like a blind person. How did I ever believe her so completely? It was probably because I loved Evelyn. Love made one blind. And it turned out I was the one who had been blind all along. Evelyn didn't notice anything off about me. She felt her way over to the couch and wrapped her arms around my waist.

The sound of the ripping parchment is loud in the silent hall. Julian flinches again. I fold the pieces together and tear them again. I keep going until the document is nothing but a handful of white scraps. I open my fingers. The white pieces flutter down to the marble floor. They land on Marcella’s damp skirt. They land on Julian’s polished shoes. “Three years ago, I was blind,” I say to him. “I thought love was a duty. I thought if I bled enough for your people, you would finally see me as a human being.”

“I really wanted to drink your blood but before that, I would like to see you bathe on it. Just like that damn beast did to me, I’ll both kill you afterward.” “HAH!” Layla gasped when she felt her innards coming out of her body. Her sight hadn’t adjusted in the dark yet and she could barely see anything which made her other senses work more efficiently. She closed her eyes to easily adapt to the situation. It was unusual but since she was blindfolded for so long, she could better operate when her sight was blocked. “Take this!”

he said to me with his gaze filled with worry. "Yes, I will, I promise," I rushed out as I scanned the menu I knew all too well. "Okay, fine. The food should be ready soon," he informed me as he looked around the place. I wonder what he could see. I mean, obviously he could see auras now but did that mean that he could see faint objects or outlines of things? What would it be like if one was blind? What if I was blind? “What is it like being blind?" The words tumbled out of my mouth without permission and I quickly slapped a hand around my mouth while feeling guilty for even saying it.
