“Well, I didn’t realize he was taking me out there just to scare me. Apparently, this Vampire, Barbarosa, has killed a lot of Hunters over the years. He lived in this creepy old house out in the middle of nowhere, and it was like a maze on the inside. So, when I wasn’t scared and thought it was just a typical hunt, Elliott tried to talk me out of it. My instincts had already kicked in, though, and I was in full slayer mode. So… I went in after Barbarosa, and chased him all through this labyrinth and out the other side. He was almost out the door when Elliott cut him off. Barbarosa had him by the neck, and while he couldn’t kill Elliott, it couldn’t have been comfortable. I had to be super ca

Billina ran to Ashton and touched his face as she kissed his forehead. Conor was still pointing the gun at Senor when the little goblin saw Bessie walking past by him, he quickly grabbed her and said, "Ha Ha, now! Drop the gun or else..." Conor quickly dropped the gun and Senor added, "So, this one is Besora." "Any last wishes, bitch?" he asked pointing the gun at her when he added, "You are a fucking psychopath." Besora, with her sharp nails, scratched his face when she replied, "Least I'm on a path babe, sort your life out."

Climbing out of her bed I don’t even bother putting on clothes as I waltz naked to my quarters. Meeting Boris at the border I am unprepared for what I see. This is definitely an attack directed towards Ella. The pretty boy from the bar is impaled with a branch halfway up a tree. His skin is pale blue, and his eyes are wide open, staring into nothingness. I notice that there is a note pinned to his shirt. Climbing the tree I pull the note off his shirt and the branch collapses to the ground with a sickening crunch causing it to further impale the pretty boy. A couple of the new guards are retching in the woods at the sight of his now mangled body.

“Sit so Rosa can check Elena.” Vanda sat beside me as Rosa lifted my shirt. Her hands were cold and smelled of sage. “What happened?” I asked. “I was at the Southwestern post. Scouts saw Barsk warriors moving between their pack and VuK.” “Oh?” “We’re going to intercept them.” Rosa moved her hand. I looked down, then at him. “Attack?” “Not exactly. Just twenty or so warriors. We’ll stop them before they reach VuK.” “So Barsk is helping VuK?”

Mom rushed over with red‑rimmed eyes and slapped me across the face. “It must have been you who drove Sheila away.” Her voice trembled with anger. “A girl raised by human traffickers is exactly what I expected. We should never have let you come back.” I stared at her. Then, through the blood blurring my vision, I looked toward Derrick. At that moment, the system’s countdown echoed in my mind. The stabbing pain in my chest intensified without warning. It hurt so much that every word required all the strength I had left. “If this was how things were going to be…”

They crashed into each other arms encircling in an embrace that lasted half a second before they faced the battle again standing back, to back scalpel and cleaver held aloft. Rosa was a storm machetes twirling in a flash of gold and steel slicing through a group of reflections that attempted to surround her. "Vengan, cabrones!" she shouted, her blade decapitating one reflection cutting off an arm of another and severing a leg from a third. Yet the dismembered limbs didn’t drop; they moved across the marble reassembling into quicker forms that scurried at her like spiders. She crushed one with a stomp, slashed at another. The third bit, into her ankle teeth gripping tightly. She screamed, str

Because I'm blacking out. "Leave her alone!" A woman shouts. Definitely not Dell. Soft hands pat my skin. "oh my god she's naked. Anastasia?" "Who-" I breathlessly attempt to ask. My eyes can't see anything. "Flower." Dell's tone joins the woman. "Oh, thank god. She's blacking out slowly. It's a side effect of wolfsbane." The soft hands are ripped off, only to be replaced by Dell's. I remember his touch.

Each strike landed mercilessly on Vanessa's body, causing her immense pain. Vanessa was nearly on the brink of losing consciousness. Under Boris' pressure, she lacked the strength to crawl any further and collapsed to the ground. "Get up!" Boris shouted angrily, kicking Vanessa in the waist to force her back into consciousness. The excruciating pain jolted Vanessa awake as her entire body convulsed in agony. She tried to get up several times, but her lack of strength thwarted her efforts. "Fucking useless!" Boris cursed. Feeling the urge to relieve himself, he tied the rope around a nearby pillar and hurried off to a toilet.

“What were you saying? Your wife! The one you never treated, even a human. Tell me Nico, whom you love the most in your family? Your daughter or wife?” Nico didn’t answer, too immersed in his misery and pain. Boris laughed. “No one! That's why I am here Nico. To steal every Barbieri woman from you.” Boris nodded. “You…..you…what you did to me?” Nico let out, voice painfully dry as he coughed, looking at the empty glass of whiskey. Boris felt utter relief at his state. He stood up and at the same time the door opened and Stephanie entered. Boris nodded at his men behind her who closed the door from outside.

In rage, he set the small forest ablaze and the branches fell to the ground. But the victory was short-lived. An angry rumble shook the ground and this time, with the fire that now laced the branches, it latched onto them like sharp razors, digging into their skin, burning Belladonna who now lacked magic. Screams filled the air, along with the angry rumble and lashing of the tree’s branches that had now forced them apart. What Belladonna saw before she was dragged back was the flaming branches around Alaris neck, his wrists and his wings, as the trees tried to rip them apart.
