Hunted
The pack scattered, howls turning to yelps as the bullets rained down.
Werewolf hunters.
My stomach twisted as I dragged myself across the ground, searching for cover. “Silas!” I yelled again, panic rising in my throat.
He turned, his blue eyes locking on mine, and started toward me just as another wolf appeared.
Ronan.
I barely registered his presence before he was struck down, his body hitting the ground hard. Everything happened too fast—snarls, gunshots, screams.
And then the bullets hit.
Silas leapt in front of me, his body blocking mine just as the silver shots tore through the air. The impact sent us both flying back, and I hit the ground hard, the wind knocked from my lungs.
