Breaking The Spotlight
When they finally pulled apart, the sky outside had cleared, and a new dawn was painting the clouds gold.
Luna whispered, “You realize this is just the calm before the next storm?”
Adrian smirked. “Then we’ll build our empire in the eye of it.”
She laughed softly, tired, free. “You make chaos sound romantic.”
He grinned. “With you, it always is.”
The jet finally leveled out, slicing through the calm after the storm. Clouds gave way to open sky, pale gold bleeding into blue.
Luna’s hand rested over Adrian’s. Their fingers were still trembling from the adrenaline, but this time, it wasn’t from fear. It was release.
