The binding. The timing. The selection. The manipulation.
I swallowed hard and leaned forward, elbows on my knees now because sitting upright suddenly felt impossible.
“My wolf,” I murmured.
Raven stepped slightly closer, “What about it.”
I looked up at him finally.
“When the binding broke,” I said, “that was not normal.”
Raven’s expression shifted slightly but he stayed calm, “No, it was not.”
“It felt old,” I admitted quietly, “older than me.”
