Broken Promises The Movie Novels & Stories

“The only promise you’ve never broken is the one you made to yourself — that you’d rather run than stay. That you’d rather destroy something beautiful than risk watching it destroy you first.” “Are you finished?” “We should turn around.” “We’re not turning around.” “Because you’re scared.” “Because you asked me to take you to your mother’s grave and unlike every other promise I’ve apparently broken tonight, I intend to keep this one. So sit back, stop bleeding on my upholstery, and let me be a decent man about one single thing before the entire world confirms that I’m not.” She holds my gaze for a long moment, reading me the way she’s always been able to read me, down to the thing under that

"Whatever happens. Whatever you become. Whatever I become. I will be here, and I will fight for you, and I will not let you face anything alone. That is the only promise I can make, and it is the only one that matters." I broke then. Not gracefully, not beautifully—the way I'd imagined strong women breaking in books, with single tears and dignified silence. I broke ugly, gasping, my body curling inward as sobs tore through me with a violence that felt like it might split me open. I grabbed fistfuls of his shirt, pulling him closer, burying my face in his neck where his pulse beat steady and real against my lips.

"Selling her? You flipped the script on the deal! Everyone knows houses appreciate, but renovations just depreciate. You think we're the dumb ones here?" The argument escalated in a flash, neither side willing to yield an inch. The bride and groom desperately tried to break it up, but it was futile. Soon, someone threw the first punch, and chaos descended, dishes and plates flying in all directions. In the mayhem, a few bottles sailed toward our table. Ted leaped up in an instant, positioning himself to shield me. One bottle cracked against Audrey's head with a sickening thud, blood immediately dripping from the wound. He didn't notice, too focused on blocking the projectiles aimed my way. "

“ But it’s just the same you can have them unwanted” “But they can be broken, remember?” “Then how?” “Someone can break them.” “Someone? Who?” “ Someone that has the forbidden promise.” “Forbidden promise?” “Her parents promised her a magic that she can break someone's promise.” s “Stop it. I’m not gonna fall for that. You know what I’m just going back to my room, oh I forgot and you didn’t tell me that you’re next to mine? You know what, I still have class.” I said and stood up.

"It's not my fault that you can't sleep because of what you're feeling because it's your fault! We're not in a drama for you to tell me that, and do you think I'll soften? Me too! In those three years, the horror, the pain, that until now, it's still here. It healed, yes! But the scars? Very visible, Denver." "Let me, Sandra," Denver pleaded. "Let me heal it, love. Give me a chance to heal this pain for you. Just this time, Sandra. I promise I won't waste it if you just give me a chance. I broke your trust once, I will never do it again. I promise." "I've heard the word promise so many times, Denver. Don't deceive me. A promise is useless if it's not fulfilled. Don't just talk, Denver. I'm t

Chapter 1- Promises *Two days earlier* "She's coming, and when she rises, your entire family will burn in her inferno," I screamed as my body hung in the air. I couldn't move; I was frozen in place. Ahmes clawed to break free, but she was being suppressed within my mind by powerful magic. "When I break free, I will kill you. That's a promise." I snarled. The witch before me let out a manic laugh. His voice was low as he spoke.

"If I can have that, then maybe we can have a deal." "When I tell you that you'll be under my protection, it's because you can be sure it will be that way," he murmured, leaning on his desk and looking at her intently. "Safety is a priority in our agreement. You can trust that no one will harm you while you're playing the role I'm paying you for. Furthermore, you have my word that I won't let you get involved in anything dangerous. The contract you'll sign includes clauses ensuring your protection and the penalties if it's broken."

“You used your alpha order on me. You promised never to do that. Do you remember that conversation? At the waterfall. You promised. What good is a promise if you’re going to break it?” “What do you want me to say? I’m sorry, I wasn’t thinking straight. All I saw were two massive wolves ready and willing to rip you to shreds to get to Colleen. I didn’t want you getting hurt. I got caught up in the moment. It won’t happen again.” “Another promise you’ll break, no doubt,” she said with fury in her glare. “That’s not fair.” “What’s not fair is the fact that you can do whatever you want. You say the word, and people obey. I don’t work like that.”

he asked abruptly. Suddenly I knew what I had to do. After all, he deserved it. I sat across from him and said calmly, “Jack, the way you’ve been treating me is wrong. I’ve never had anyone speak to me that way. As a professional, it’s wrong, and I can’t allow it to continue.” Jack snickered nervously and leaned back in his chair. I closed my eyes briefly. God help me, I prayed. “I want to make you a promise. I will be a friend,” I said. “I will treat you as you deserve to be treated, with respect and kindness. You deserve that. Everybody does.” I slipped out of the chair and closed the door behind me.

“I love you, Ethan. But love isn’t enough if we’re not honest with each other.” Ethan finally looked up at her, his eyes filled with a mixture of regret and determination. “You’re right,” he admitted, his voice rough. “We’ve been hiding from the truth for too long. But I’m not ready to give up. Not on us. Not yet.” Just as Sophia was about to respond, the temperature in the room plummeted, and the candles flickered violently. The low, whispering voice returned, echoing around them, “Promises made… promises broken… only one will leave.”
