My Best Friend's Baby
Sitting on the world's most uncomfortable chair, Cole's dad joins us, kissing my mom on the cheek before he sits down.
“Nice to see all of you.”
“Looking good, dad.” Christian says to his father.
“Well don't you look cute tonight sweetie. Are you cold? You're shivering,” my mom says, giving me a little boost.
I nod my head as I keep my eyes on Cole and the group of people he's with; I'm so proud of him. Johnny hands me my jacket that's draped across the back of his chair, helping me put it on.
“I know how rough it is at the end, but you're almost there honey, you can do this.” My mother assures me as Cole's father speaks up, trying to make me feel better.
