   BURNING SECRETS

BURNING SECRETS

"Don't say I didn't offer. What are we going with?" "I say truth," Law states. Jeremiah and Jackson nod and Ezekiel reaches into the bowl. He unfolds the paper, smiles when he reads what's on it. "What in your web browser would be embarrassing if someone saw it?" he reads. "Okay, guess I'll go first. Um, I have a folder in my bookmarks bar titledHands." We all burst out laughing. "What the hell does that even mean?" Laury asks. "Hey, hey. I just had to tell the truth. Not explain."

HIS SUBSTITUTE LUNA: Chosen By The Alpha

HIS SUBSTITUTE LUNA: Chosen By The Alpha

this words were little but it sent heavy shivers down my spine. "Here we go, we have to find what's wrong with you? And secondly whatever is wrong with you would have to flushed out with this or burned out, which do you choose?"She explained as she had her eyes on the book that she was reading, I was a bit skeptical about the two methods she was going to use. "I don't know what's inside here so I agree to the fact that you're going to burn it out" I uttered having had enough liquid for the day.

Shifted Fate

Shifted Fate

“Alsh firmate alite.” The fire ball flew from my hands and exploded against the dry wood. It caught, and soon the fire was burning through the wood quickly. I fed more wood, bigger pieces into the fire, and waited for it to catch. I wanted to be sure that this was going to be burning for a while before I moved on to the next step. Once I was sure that the fire was good, I flipped back to the page I needed. I read the entire page twice before I put the book back on the ground. I pulled my mother’s necklace out of my pocket and my father’s skin. I prayed to the Moon Goddess that I was right before I tossed both in.

I love Drama
I liked the story very much as it has its uniqueness in it.. Author is talented.. It was a rollercoaster of emotions within also with a lots of twists and turns.. But there are a lots of loosends that needed closures.. However, I guess that's gonna be covered in the next book.. Definitely good read!

I love the story. So many new & unique ways she has made this lycan/wolf/witch universe has me captivated tbh. I'm a long-time reader & tired of seeing the same thing. the characters are funny. The way she addresses loss, recovery, and acceptance was touching. can't wait for more from this author ...

Shading Black

Shading Black

James said slowly. "Are you supporting them?" Peter Okeke asked. "No I am not." "You must know that burning a human is setting them on fire and fire is not friendly when it comes in contact with a human skin." James took the book, flipped through the pages then he gave the book to Paul Okeke. "Read that story." Paul Okeke collected the book from James hands. The title was written in bold letters like the previous story he read. It was titled: A GRUESOME DEATH. He swallowed and started reading loudly.

Beyond Redemption

Beyond Redemption

Not meant to burn, but to heal. Aaron saw it and hesitated. “What—” I raised my hand. The fire flowed forward, not as a weapon but as light, wrapping around him like silk. He struggled, roaring, trying to fight it off. His flames turned wild, snapping and twisting, but they couldn’t break through. “You don’t understand!” he shouted. “If you win, everything ends! The flame dies!” I stepped closer, the light growing brighter. “No, Aaron. The flame only dies when it forgets why it burns.”

Obsession of the Mafia King

Obsession of the Mafia King

He struck a match, and the flames leaped, consuming the pages, the highlighted words, the very essence of her former intellectual life. Amara watched the fire, a hollow ache in her chest. It wasn't just a book. It was a symbol. A message from Dante. He wasn’t just taking her freedom; he was taking her mind, her spirit, her very identity. He was burning away her past, isolating her from every source of strength she had once possessed.

The Burning

The Burning

"I don't believe in miracles anymore, Ben. I believe in stubbornly refusing to die. There's a difference." "Is there?" he asked, his voice softer now. "Sometimes I think your stubborn refusal to give up is the closest thing to a miracle I've seen since The Burning." The mention of The Burning made my chest tighten, as it always did. The memories were still too fresh, too raw. I could still smell the smoke, hear the screms, see the sky turning that terrible shade of orange as the world caught fire. I pushed the thoughts away, focusing instead on putting one foot in front of the other.

burn between us

burn between us

He set it in front of him and looked at the first page. The most radical thing two people can do is pay attention to each other every day for the rest of their lives. He looked at it for a moment. Then he looked at Dante. "Ready?" he said. "For what?" Dante said. "The revision," Elian said. "The full read. I want you to read it with me. Out loud. Starting today." He held the manuscript. "The novel deserves to be read aloud at least once by the people it's about before it goes anywhere else."

Frequently Asked Questions

I picked up 'Burn After Reading' on a whim, mostly because the cover caught my eye—sometimes judge-y, I know! At first, the plot felt like a chaotic jumble of spy mishaps and absurd humor, but that’s where the charm kicked in. It’s not your typical polished thriller; it’s messy, unpredictable, and hilariously self-aware. The characters are all gloriously incompetent, which makes their misadventures weirdly relatable. If you’re into dark comedy that doesn’t take itself seriously, this’ll hit the spot. I ended up loving how it revels in its own ridiculousness.

That said, if you prefer tight, logical narratives, this might frustrate you. There’s no grand payoff or deep message—just a wild ride that leaves you chuckling at human folly. It’s like watching a train wreck where everyone’s cluelessly waving from the caboose. For me, that was enough.
