A decade of planning culminates in a nearly bloodless coup in the Kingdom of Aleghor. A character similar to Samson in the bible helps to create an epic fantasy story including romance and tragedy. With the events similar to the life of Samson described in this novel, do not expect this story to be religious. It isn't. It is also only one part of the overall story. It is also not a retelling of the end of Pompeii.

Voilà le prix à payer pour avoir embêté Magali ! » Les contractions étaient tellement douloureuses que mes ongles se brisaient, mais personne n'est venue m'ouvrir. Mes cris déchirants résonnaient dans le grenier pendant un long moment. Finalement, je suis morte en couches, avec mes deux enfants, dans ce sombre grenier. Trois jours plus tard, mon mari, buvant une soupe qui ne lui plaisait pas, s'est souvenu enfin de moi. Il a dit : « Demande à Jade de venir me préparer une soupe, puis envoie-la présenter des excuses à Magali. Si elle est sincère, elle pourra aller à l'hôpital pour accoucher. » Personne n'a osé lui répondre, car le sang, qui s'était répandu du grenier, avait atteint la deuxième marche du palier…
