“That’s comforting.” The creature suddenly lunged at Seris, its form blurring with speed. Cael barely managed to intercept, his blade catching one claw. The impact shoved him back three full steps, boots grinding against the stone, but he held. “Mara!” he snapped. “Any time now!” Her reply was calm, too calm. “Almost there.”

Lysander POV Fuck, summer solstice seemed like a lifetime away. It was the beginning of March. We hadn’t even hit the spring equinox yet, and there were about twelve weeks between the equinox and solstice. Forever. I paced the office and did my best to ignore Xavier’S and Kaelen’S eyes boring into my skin. “We could take them out now,” I mumbled. Of course, we’d need to find VEXX and his cronies first.

All three were broad chested, tanned and tattooed. The one in the centre had long blond braided hair which was slightly matted. He locked eyes with me before I looked away. “Odessa, this is Caelum and his warriors. He’s the pack’s top warrior,” Alesi announced with a smile.
