Is this his bedroom? He brings me towards the frosted glass door. As he walks, he kisses me passionately. I make a small sound of pleasure and wrap my arms around his neck. Cain pushes the door with his back and enters the room. While I kiss him, I start to smell a fragrant. Not a perfume. I want to pull away from him and gaze upon the room however; he keeps me busy and his kisses are so alluring. I begin to feel the moment again. Cain slowly puts me down. I stand on the tips of my toes. Cain holds my waist with one arm. His other hand reaches out to a button behind Rosie. He presses it and warm water sprays out from above them

“Okay. Let’s go down another floor.” Taking the stairs again, we continue down the floors until we reach a set of metal doors. Rowan runs his hands across the doors. “This one has no card reader.” Stopping beside him, I run my gaze across the door. There are no windows on the door, only a large symbol. “How are we going to get in?” I think out loud. Rowan presses his ear against the door for a moment. “I hear something.” Mimicking his move, I press my ear against the door and listen. Several seconds pass before a muffled cry reaches my ears. Flinching back, I look at Rowan. “Do you think it’s human?”

Camille's door was a gentle shade of mint green, little vines crawling along the edges, small flower buds protruding in random locations. I walked down the hallway alone, ultimately finding my own room. As I looked at the door to my bedroom, I grasped why each door was completely unique. They reflected each of the chosen contestants in some way. My own door was a lovely shade of red, not bold or gaudy but warm and appealing. The red faded into various shades of orange and yellow. A thin golden pattern was etched into the door, swirling around the edges and doorknob. The brilliant color matched my fire-kissed hair, and my personality as Aidan would say.

The question sitting there unspoken. “Is this allowed?” Vex glances up. Reads him instantly. Of course he does. A faint smirk touches his mouth against my throat. “Doorways are for guests,” he says casually. His fingers tighten on my waist. “You’re not a guest.” Kade’s eyes flick back to mine. Searching. Asking. The answer is already there. Kade hesitates for only a moment before stepping inside, closing the door behind him. His eyes never leave mine as he approaches the bed.

"I'm sorry, Patricia. What should I do now? How can I make it up to you?" But it was too late. I no longer felt any pity for him. I opened the car door. The chirping of cicadas outside persisted. Slamming the door shut, I said, "Get lost, and don't let me see you again." Vicente left, taking Jamie with him.

Caelian halted and gave me a questioning look. “Since you know doors like that need a key to be opened, do you happen to have the key to it?” I asked. “I would like to see what’s inside.” All the playfulness just disappeared from Caelian’s face in the blink, his eyes darkening as he averted his gaze. “No, I don’t have the key,” he muttered. “Well, then do you know where I can find it?” “No. I don’t,” Caelian said. “And if you listen to me…just let it be. Some doors are better left unopened…Gianna.” I blinked as he turned around and then trotted downstairs.

Finding Maya could wait until after he got through the next two days without everything collapsing. Someone knocked on the door and Luca called for them to enter without looking up, expecting another pack member with another complaint. When he finally glanced up he saw Cain standing in the doorway, and the temperature in the room seemed to drop several degrees. “You look like hell,” “I wasn’t sure you were coming back at all,” Luca said, setting down the document. “” “Didn’t realize I needed your permission to come and go,” Cain said, closing the door behind him with more force than necessary.

She was sure of that, even if she couldn’t do that- worst come to come, she would just go ahead and submit in front of the order— A low thunk came from the front of her door and Reyna frowned, the sound was small and it hardly made any noise but with her acute shifter hearing, she heard it. Surprised she waited for Cain to walk inside, thinking that it might be him but when no one came inside her frown deepened even further as she crossed the room and opened the door, there was no one except a red envelope near the door.

Irene opened the door to her room, she saw her husband lying on the bed sleeping, as she was pacing around contemplating whether to ask him about the anniversary party or not, but how would she tell him who told her? She doesn't want the party or anyone in the house or someone to find out about her secret affair, she doesn't want an intruder in the house. She needs to find a way to stop the party.

CHAPTER FOURTEEN *MATURED SCENE AHEAD* The heavy iron door swung open, revealing a sliver of pale light that sliced through the oppressive darkness of Caitlin's wretched prison. Her trembling form shrank back as she glimpsed him descending the twisted staircase, his malevolent smirk sending shivers down her spine. Desperation welled within her, yearning for the very walls to become her savior, to swallow her whole and protect her from this remorseless monster. "Close the door behind me," his command hung in the air, the intensity in his eyes unwavering as they bore into her cowering figure.
