Like the slow, steady heartbeat of love. Warm calmness spreads over me as if someone just tucked a blanket around my soul. The panic fades. The pain softens. My body sinks into a quiet pool of serenity. I gather every ounce of strength my body currently owns. Which, judging by the results, is roughly the amount of energy contained in a sleepy hamster. Therman energy really, so I can make things hot or cold, force molecules to speed up and expand or slow down. Freeze a pond or light something on fire. Basically, when I lose control, I will let out a blast that is so powerful that everything will be destroyed. Thankfully, I had run away from my parents when that blast happened, so I didn’t kill anyone.
