CALM! RELAX! QUIET! I let those sounds fill me. I let the meaning of those sounds suffuse me. Not the fucking meaning you can find in a dictionary; their meaning to ME. I let them anchor me in the storm of emotion going through me. I wrapped them around me, letting them calm me. The black rage that was boiling in the pit of my stomach like bile, seeking a way out, trying to own me yet again. That would not do. I needed this, the center of the storm.

ALEXANDER'S POV Storms out from the hospital angrily with a disappointed face, my patience losing out in place. I could not think straight on what to do concerning the company that is going bankrupt day after day, my powers enranging so bad this time which I need so ladies to fuvk so badly to get off the emotions; it's the only thing that calms my nerves not to hurt anyone badly The weather changes its face rapidly as it is the day marked for the full moon I glance at my wristwatch as the cloud becomes so dim.

A shudder raced down my spine but I didn’t stop running. ‘BEEP! BEEP! BEEP!’ Shit! I hadn’t noticed that I had stepped out into oncoming traffic. My heart raced, the pain in my jaw forgotten in the moment of being almost hit by a car. ‘Why can’t I catch a break? All I want is for someone to love me for me and to protect me. Lord knows I need it now.’ I silently prayed. I hadn’t noticed that I was kneeling in the middle of the street in the pouring rain until a hand gently rested on my shoulder.

She shuddered. "Never...I swear it. I only want you...no one else." She searched the depths of my eyes, and then slowly, I felt the tension release from her body. "That's it," I cooed in approval, relaxing my hold just a little. She was cooling down, but the storm was still very present in her eyes. I coached softly, "Just take a minute, love...and breathe." I knew a little something about calming down riotous and out-of-control emotions- I had to do it myself often enough.

I felt on the verge of fracturing, my mind teetering on the brink of collapse under the barrage of unrelenting sensory overload. Amid this madness, Dane's voice pierced the disorder, a beacon of hope in the vortex. "I can't calm this storm for you, Kitten. I will not dilute it with more of my blood, or you might not break through. This intensity is an agonizing extreme, but it precedes the calm. I know it's unbearable now... but please, hold on. It's about to stop," he implored.

I found something else there, something quiet and steady. My own strength. The storm roared, its winds lashing against my body. Lightning struck the ground mere inches from where I stood, but I didn’t flinch. "Enough!" I shouted, my voice carrying over the storm. The black cloud hesitated, its movements slowing. "You’re not in control anymore," I said, my voice steady. I raised my hands, my claws glinting in the flickering light. The wolf snarled in defiance, its presence surging in my mind, but I held firm.

Tears welled in my eyes, and my entire body panicked. "Take a deep breath..." Storm commanded and inhaled deeply and then slowly exhaled the air. "Again..." she instructed, and I followed her example... "Two more..." She inhaled, and I mimicked her; doing the last one, I was relaxed and completely in control of my emotions. "Thanks for teaching me how to calm down..." I sighed, and she nodded. "So... you need my help..." She chuckled, and I blushed. "I mean, I don't want to know your intimate details, but I need to feel confident and know the basics..." I sighed, and she nodded.

“You always know how to calm me down.” I smiled faintly, keeping my hands on him. “I’m not the one doing it,” I said quietly. “It’s you. You’re just letting go, letting me help.” He didn’t reply, but I could feel his gratitude in the way his body relaxed under my touch. I continued to focus, allowing the warmth to flow into him, soothing the weariness from his muscles, calming the energy that threatened to break free. Slowly, the storm within him settled, leaving only the calm, steady rhythm of his breathing.

CATALINA The pain crashes over me like a wave, raw, primal, and unstoppable. My knees buckle just as thunder rumbles overhead. I grip the edge of the sofa, gasping, unable to call out but knowing they’ll come. The storm outside is nothing compared to the one inside me. It’s no longer about waiting. This is now. I could barely breathe from the rage and helplessness, but I knew I had to stay calm and then I gave her a sign to be at ease. Reaching out through our bond, I linked my mind to hers, sending her a wave of calm, steady reassurance. I tried to push back the storm I felt building in her. “Breathe,” I whispered into her mind. “You have to stay calm. If you don’t, they’ll notice something’s wrong.”
