The vent was conveniently placed right at my eye level and I wondered briefly if that was why it had been disconnected, so people could spy on those who were in the other room easier. I peered inside and saw Cain standing with his mother and another man. This man looked to be about Cain's mother's age. He had black, wavy hair and was built like Cain. I wondered if that was his father. They were arguing which made me want to walk away. I felt nosey prying into their conversation. Just as I was about to leave, I heard Cain say angrily: "If you didn't want a Vampire son, maybe you shouldn't have fucked someone who had a vampiric disease."

Five miles south of Redberg Village, Damian and the four enormous Goblins trotted their forces back to the farm, which was five miles away. Damian was in complete disbelief. The devious Goblin waited until all of the greatest witch warriors had left on their duty to save the human before attacking their undefended hamlet, and then the beast struck.

She looks murderous. “What’s happened?” I ask as I stand and my parents both stand either side of me. “You all kissed and made up? Good, because this concerns you both.” I look at them both and then back at Alessa as she walks closer to me and hands me a phone. “Short version.” I say to her and usually she laughs, but she isn’t. “The crotch goblins, as you call them, have been seen parked up in Smyth territory.” Well, shit. What are they planning?

“Nope. But if we start slamming doors, we’re no better than the packs that tossed us out.” He didn’t argue. Lately, he’d stopped bothering. By the end of the week, the place was packed—sixty-odd wolves, easy. Camp looked like it’d swallowed a junkyard: tree platforms popping up, cabins patched with whatever metal they found. Training doubled. Felt like chaos, but it worked. Not everyone was what they seemed, though. Three days after Caelin’s group rolled in, a patrol caught one of the older rogues sneaking past the sentries, dropping scent markers up on a ridge. Spy stuff. When they called him out, he went feral. Silas dropped him. Quick and ugly.

Gracie asked, "It's got dinosaurs as the three kings. Uncle Jasper says they are going to camp because my auntie Ellie dipped them in glitter, and we've got Superman as the angel." Nick grinned. He'd let Gabriel explain camp to Katie. "Hello, Millie. Lovely to see you again. I hope you are keeping these two in order?." Nick laughed, "The girls will outnumber us in a couple of weeks, Jasp. You'll have to provide us with sanctuary." "Hey, it's five to one here as it is," Jasper laughed. "Do you honestly think I'm allowed to do what I want with a wife and three cleaning ladies, plus Gracie and my mother?"

the girl in ponytail said cheerfully and twirled. "What are you talking about?," Iktanne replied, completely baffled. The girls looked at her with a bit of confusion at her remark but wasn't bothered by it. "You see, Iktanne-sama, some of our relatives live in the northern province of Japan. Right now, our Empire's northern barracks have detected anomalies that involve about one and a half dozen of Giant bandits attacking villagers from there. Remember the sudden appearance of a tsunami a couple of weeks ago? General Gary of the North barracks sent a report to the Academy that those bandits were the ones responsible for that happening," the girl in pigtails explained.

The goblin child saved him from another round of nagging from his senior brother as well. “My brother and I live in the goblin tribe north of the Three Snake River, two days’ carriage ride away along this mountain range going east,” the goblin child said, his voice shaking from all the strange stares that he’s receiving. But he held on. “Majority of these children were already in the carriage when we were captured, so they must also be from the villages further east of the Three Snake River.”

“Sit down Iggy.” Caleb spoke calmly. The eighteen-year old eased himself into the chair opposite of Caleb with wary eyes. He rarely ever got a call from the Duncan pack which is something he couldn’t be more grateful for, the last time had been two years ago so he wondered why they’d need him again. Yes, they did keep in touch and he knew of a couple of their cubs who had attended his high school and still dropped by his house for friendly ‘visits’, but he didn’t think he would be walking into their compound this early. They were a friendly bunch and they paid good money for his services, but he still feared them especially since he had first seen Caleb morph into his wolf- he was terrified
