They bolted outside not wanting the building to crash on their heads. A dozen goblins stood before them—giants in silver armor, easily three times their size. Their skin was like tarnished bronze, their eyes yellow with slit pupils. Their weapons were brutal: serrated axes, spiked clubs, twisted spears. The one in front bore tusks curved like sabers.

Twenty feet wide. Maybe more. And through it poured enemy warriors, hundreds of them, screaming their battle cries. The demon-wolf stood in the center of the breach, roaring its triumph. We'd lost the wall. The real battle was about to begin.
