I ask, wanting to soothe her discomfort. "Yes," she comes forward and I wrap her into my arms, kissing the top of her head. My chest starts to rumble, and I can practically hear Connor purr, which is weird because wolves cannot purr. "I'm a magical beast. I can do whatever the hell I want." Connor growls. "And right now I want to comfort our mate. If she needs me to purr, I will find a way." "Hasn't anyone ever treated you on your birthday?"

Am I losing the plot? Then I realize Azaria is laid out, in the nether regions of my mind, all content, more like a cat than a wolf! Purring away, all comfortable and happy… this wolf is going to take some getting used to! And to think I was about to blame Tate for this awful noise! It sounds like a cross between Darth Vadar and a pneumatic drill! Is she doing this to get on my nerves? No animal purrs like that, and wolves don’t purr, do they? So what is this noise she is making?

Jaxon whispered. The wolf's eyes focused on him with unmistakable intelligence. Jaxon leaned forward slowly. He pressed his forehead to the wolf's muzzle. Heat radiated between them. The wolf remained perfectly still, allowing the contact. A sound vibrated through the wolf's chest. Low and resonant. Not a growl. Something else. A purr. Jaxon's breath hitched. Tears gathered at the corners of his eyes. "You are beautiful." The wolf's purr deepened.

He quizzed. "The silver wolf…" I muttered. "Is this the first time that you have seen such a wild creature?" He queried. "Hmmm… first, I don't think it's wild. It even purrs in my hands like it was liking my touch!" I explained. "Are you sure? Wolves are wild creatures. Aren't you scared of being shredded into pieces, hmmm?" He mumbles. I shook my head and inhaled deeply. "I'm not! I went back to the passage to find it but it was gone. Haven't you really seen it?" I asked him.

"Yes. My words exactly. Come on, let's sit down again so I can drink some wine. I think this book is doing strange things to my mind." She sipped the wine as she found her place on the page she'd been reading. "Hmmm. This is interesting." She squirmed in her seat. "This says when wolves mate they use their tongues very cleverly." The thought of a long wet tongue licking her between her thighs, stroking her labia and twisting the tip around her clit sent streaks of heat racing through her and her blood pumping in her veins. Good lord! What was the matter with her? She closed her eyes for just a moment, to clear her head.........

The wolf purred under my hands and I smiled at his closed eyes and the sounds he was making. I chuckle at the soft purring machine that is Ethan's wolf. He sure likes to be a pet. He growls when my hands stop and I laugh at how adorable it is. After a few moments, his wolf nudged me and then lowered to the ground a bit. I knew what he was trying to say. His wolf wanted me to get on his back and go for a ride. Well, if I had known his wolf was into this kind of thing, I would have worn a jean or something and not a stupid sundress.

I whisper, looking at the wolf, but it doesn’t seem to have felt anything, because he just sits there looking at me. I slowly move my hand close until I touch him again, and the soft electricity returns. But it doesn’t hurt, and it doesn’t look like the wolf feels it, so I don’t move my hand again. Instead, I softly scratch his head and ears, and surprisingly he starts purring as if he were a cat, making me laugh a little. “Who knew a big, dangerous wolf could be so gentle,” I whisper. He whips his head to the side and looks at me, then lies on the ground, and I sit down. Letting my hands run through his black fur. And he just lay there with closed eyes.

Heavy chanting pounded in my eardrums, voices overlapping with one another until their words no longer made any sense. Hands both strong and soft snared my face, cradling it gently. Starburst eyes staring down at me cracked the horrible images in two, crushing the shards to dust. “Breathe, little wolf.” I traced his lips, memorizing their movements. The pull in my chest intensified, drawing me closer. One kiss, that was all I wanted. Instead of soft lips, I received a mouthful of fur. The massive wolf forced his way between us, huffing and puffing as he spun once, then twice, before flopping down in the very center of the bed. Azrael released a laugh that bordered on a groan.

The wolf purred at the response of his mate. He then started licking all her wounds. Gradually, they all started to fade away. Sienna moaned, feeling his rough tongue dancing over her body. Involuntarily, her core secreted the fluids, inviting him to explore her hidden treasure. The wolf breathed and let out a guttural growl. He licked down her belly and tended to her thigh. Once all the wounds were closed, he slowly moved to her inner thigh.
