I welcomed the soft breeze that drifted from my car window, longing to travel as I gazed over the vineyards that spanned the horizon. “I wait here, miss.” Carlos spoke firmly as I exited the black vehicle. “Grazie, Carlos.” I smiled back at his poor English. He readjusted his dark sunglasses and even darker suit before holding his fists together in front of his legs. Carlos looked like a mobster handyman, the way he stood suspiciously and clothes he wore - all black. The funny thing was that he didn’t look out of place in the city. If you drove your own car, you were the odd one.

It was something I needed, and I believe Aimee needed it too. “I know and your right, I was wrong and I’m sorry” he apologised. Someone stepped out from behind Lucien, falling in line beside him. I switch the aim from Lucien to our new arrival, I was not taking any chances since every man I come across in this building never seems to have a sane functioning mind. “fácil, mi amor” he mirrored Lucien’s posture, raising the palms of his hands up in surrender. “Carlos” I whispered, my finger instantly falling from the trigger.

My cheeks heat up, and I peer to look at Santino, who has the same Stoic expression he normally has. “ Maximo, let the girl go!” Santino glares at his brother, who pauses. Maximo stops his advances and pulls away completely. I breathe out in relief and I look at Santino, who has the tiniest smile tagged on his lips. Oh! So he can smile. Maximo takes out a cigar and blows on the tip, instantly lighting it up. I can't help but stare in awe, he always amazes me with his tricks, while Santino keeps his hidden.

"Carlos?" The burly man, Carlos Braxton, changed his expression and lowered his head. "Forgive this one's sudden reaction, my injuries from before started to act up again." Carlos apologized. Santi smiled at him and waved his hand. "Oh so it was like that. You looked so terrified that I thought you saw something that we were unable to see." He said this with a warm smile on his face. Carlos' expression remained the same but his eyes trembled a bit. It was a good thing that he had his eyes lowered, hence they did not see it.

Carlos knew what he was doing and he was looking for an advantage to get one at me. Carlos shrugged, his expression unbothered, leaning back in the chair. "I don't operate like that," he said coolly, his eyes meeting mine without a sort of remorse. "If you want the information, I’m here. If not, I can walk out of that door right now."

I whisper. He doesn’t hesitate, He slams the gear into reverse. The tires screech against concrete as we shoot backward. The silver sedan accelerates. “Hold on,” Carlos mutters. He jerks the wheel sharply, taking a tight turn down another lane. The dark SUVs begin to reposition, engines revving loudly in the enclosed space. “They’re boxing us in,” I say, gripping the dashboard. Carlos floors the gas, weaving between parked cars with precise control. One SUV lunges forward, trying to cut us off.

"The way you read Keyson in the third round and changed your whole approach without anyone telling you to do that." He paused. "That's not something someone can easily learn, it just can't be taught." Raina still didn't say anything, but she kept her eyes on him.

Carlos's sad voice could not help but feel embarrassed by his pride which had been so arrogant. While rubbing Carlos's back then Jodi said "Are you okay Carlos" asked Jodi "I have lost to him" replied Carlos "Lost with whom?" Asked Jodi "I have lost badly by the Champion Liem" replied Carlos who still looked sad. Carlos looks sad because all this time he has always won in every match of his matches until finally he 'Carlos' was visited by Liem directly. Finally he 'Carlos' understood that the strength he had been proud of was nothing compared to the Champion Liem.
