But do you think you can save these useless weaklings like that? Aren’t you too naive?” As Carol spoke, she moved again by exploding the dozen or so tree demons. The skyscraper that hadn't been fully erected slowly fell again.

Carol smiled at the compliment. " I'll be cooking for us more often now. I'm sure Andera would love to have more of my coaching." He said with a wink. "I saw a culinary book on the kitchen island, piece of advice, throw it away, let the pro teach you how it's done". Rosa and I said nothing, we only stared at Carol. " You wouldn't have that time. When you'll be so busy capturing the Seattle landscape" Rosa said quietly. Carol's eyes met mine, unwavering, he twirled his tongue around his fork.

Karla glanced at the remaining book study. She sighed and continued to flip pages. “This is boring.” She said. She stands up from her chair and counted how many books does she need to study. “One, Two, and Three….” She scratched her head and muttered. “I need a tea.” She walked to the library’s window and glanced at the trees in the garden. Beautiful flowers decorated the garden and a giant fountain added more beauty. She walked to the exit door and made her way to the garden.

It was a warm, sunny, and bright day, but it was also a slow one. Carol sat in the tiny bookshop in which she had gotten a job the very day she got here, waiting for customers to come in and fighting sleep. She was the only one in the shop, as the owner had dashed off to prepare for her birthday party, leaving Carol all alone in the shop.
