Making him 6 inches taller than me. Carter is lean, with a muscular build from track and tennis. His slate gray eyes shine as he laughs at a joke that Patrick (dickhead) made. I can smell his cologne as I start to pass the group to get to the instrument room. *Fuuu-uuuck* this guy just did it for me.

A slap landed at the back of his head, followed by a punch in his gut—which almost knocked him out again. But instead, it made him nauseous, and he vomited the whole drink he had taken a few minutes ago.

“Yeah, that’s Logan Carter.” There was a round of Oh's and ahs from the group at the window. I heard my phone buzz on the table with a notification. I closed my laptop down and grabbed my things. A lot of the office stayed at the window watching as I exited. I must admit they were correct; he looked exceptional. He was wearing dark jeans, a crisp white T-shirt and a black leather jacket. He was leaning against the bonnet of a car I didn’t recognise.

Strange enough Slade and I could still speak to one another in our minds, our link remained as strong as ever. “Take care of yourself,” Carter said as he climbed back in the car. “Thanks, Carter,” I said. Slade didn’t say anything to Carter, but the look in his eyes told me that nothing good would come of it. Slade was a different breed of wolf. His world consisted of being loyal to me and nothing else mattered to him. Slade and I walked into the airport and stood in front of the multiple ticket counters. I was thinking of where we should go because we really were on our own now and we could go wherever we wanted. I had no plans to go to Alaska, even if I had family there.
