Raven didn’t know what to make of Luna Wolversen, Aireka, as she insisted Raven call her. She ignored all protocol and spoke to Raven like she was teaching a catch-up class in summer school. Raven assumed this since she had only movies to go by and no experience. She’d dropped out of school before graduation. No one noticed or cared. She recalled telling the Alpha’s sob to mind his own business.

He tried to chase away the thought of him being caught by her. "Who are you? What are you hiding from me? Why have you chosen to hide yourself away from me?" Raven decides to give him the chance of explaining himself to her by not being so specific of her words. "I don't understand what you're saying Raven. What's the problem?" Not being able to handle his character she decides to scream at him just to show him how serious she was.

I would’ve ignored them but then I saw her. Raven; Athena’s little sister. My stomach turned at the sight of her and my blood boiled. Raven was wearing a fluffy pink coat and white boots, like she was some kind of princess. Her hair was straight and shiny and her lips were glossy. She was laughing too loud and too happily. I rolled my eyes hard at the image. Just a few months ago, Raven and her family were nothing. I always see her wear the same two dresses all week and work her ass off trying to contribute to her dirt poor family income.

“Bring the Black Coast shipment codes, the account access, and every fucking file you stole.” A sob caught painfully in my throat. What the hell were they talking about? “I swear I don’t know anything,” I whispered desperately. “I don’t even know who Ravens is.” One of the men barked out a laugh. “Damn. She really clueless.” “Not our fucking problem,” another muttered. The gun pressed harder into my skin and my breathing immediately turned shaky again. “You hear that, Ravens?” the man said into the phone. “Fourteen hours before we paint the floor with her brains.”

I went to check on the twins. They were in a playroom. Surrounded by toys. Drawing with crayons. Raven ran up to me. “Mama! We drew pictures!” She held up a piece of paper. Four stick figures. Labels written in crayon above each one. “Mama, Raven, Ryker, and…” I squinted at the fourth name. The letters swam before my eyes. Blurred together. I couldn’t read them. “Who’s that?” I asked, pointing at the fourth figure.

“Oh yes, I’m all right. I guess the painting just startled me, that’s all.” Raven nodded her head and motioned to the man standing next to her. “This is my friend, Mikial and I think I told you before that my name is Raven.” She glanced at the painting. “Why does it startle you?” Pepper nodded her head at her, then turned her head again to stare at the painting. “Because I think that’s me,” she whispered. Mikial snapped his head toward her as did Raven. “Why would you think that?” Raven asked. “I mean it does look like you but what makes you think it is you?”

Looking around everything is clearer, brighter, louder and more scents than before. “Wow” that is all I can say right now. Laughing Raven said, “Lets run!” and we did. We can up to a stream and I looked down. Raven is beautiful. She has my emerald green eyes and dark brown fur with almost a red tint to it. We ended up running for a few hours before we found ourselves back at my parents house. “You should probably shift and get some sleep, you will need it for today!” “Um exactly how Raven” “Imagine yourself as a human again” roller her eyes at me.

Cassidy waved me over, moving her bag so I could sit. I chuckled and nodded as I took the seat next to her. “Hi. I’m Riko Shiraishi,” I introduced myself. “I know. We have 3rd-period art class together,” she smiled. “I’m Cassidy Summers,” she added, offering her hand. I nodded and shook her hand. “Sorry I didn’t recognize you,” I sighed. “Not a problem. I remember my first day at Ravenwood. Its hell being the new kid,” she assured. “When did you transfer to Ravenwood?” I asked. “A couple of years ago. Things never change in how they treat the new kids, well how they treat the new girls,” she frowned.

"Well then," Zach started, "If you're a bird, why don't you fly away?" He made a 'shoo' motion with his hands. People within earshot laughed.
