“Is he deliberately trying to drive me insane?” Raven was always associated with dark colors—black, navy blue, and dark brown. Those were the only ones he wore. To him, pink was a color that would ruin his image. It was so far down on his preference list that it wouldn’t even make the top thousand if he had a choice. That color reminded Gia of Caius, who would be delighted to receive a pink sweater as a gift. Still scowling, Raven ripped off the label and put on the sweater. Thankfully, the pants provided were black. Due to their unexpected stay, they had no choice but to accept whatever the host had prepared.

It was her first time speaking that much in class, and now every pair of eyes was on her. The lecturer hesitated, then cleared his throat. “Alright. For your assignment, write extensively on the significance of the ravens.” He smiled faintly. “Meanwhile, you can visit the school museum. There’s a portrait of Queen Elara- the one Monk Alphonso drew. It’s said her beauty was beyond words.” He picked up his notes and paused just before leaving. “Legend says, in the eyes of the Queen, only can the Raven King be restored.” Liana’s head tilted. “In the eyes of the Queen…” she repeated under her breath.

I’ve been seeing these giant things all over the castle. Suddenly, something white swoops down and snatches the moth flying inches from my face. The creature lands on a branch above us—a beautiful white raven. “What?” I’ve never seen a raven like this before. I rise slowly and step closer. It watches me with reddish eyes. Not glowing, just tinted. It’s a little eerie.

Making me feel like i just asked the worst question. "Well", he said his voice going back to how it usually was, the voice that would make a stranger run for the hills. "Well I'm Bryan Raven, lived in New York most of my life till now. Cause my dad thinks I can jump off our apartment, so here I am being catered by you guys", he said finally with his face going plane. "Well trust me they're way more places to kill yourself here than in New York", i said matter factly trying to lighten his mood. "And you'll also have enough reasons not to, believe me", I said practically whispering it, hoping he heard me. I hope i never give up on him, he deserves so much, he deserves to br fought for.

Her dress was nothing short of ethereal, a masterpiece of moon lace and frost-spun silk, with a bodice that glittered like starlight and a flowing train kissed by ancient runes. She looked powerful. Beautiful. Untouchable. And Declan... gods.

“Never going to happen.” Just as I’m about to turn away, Raquel grabs me by the upper arm. My shirt’s sleeve rides up an inch, exposing the bottom portion of my old tattoo. She frowns, a flicker of recognition flashing across her eyes. She doesn’t let me escape, moving so swiftly that I have no time to react. She pushes my sleeve up to expose the entire composition: a raven with red feathers and an arrow in its black beak. Her mouth falls open. “You’re a Red Raven.”

Raven's POV I woke up with a muffled scream, I looked around my room to discover that the candle I took from the pantry had burned out. I was sweating profusely. I just woke up from a nightmare which looked like reality. The same dream had been plaguing my dream for long. My name is Raven. I am seventeen years old. I belong to the Attic Moon pack, I don't have parents. Yes, I was raised by the kitchen hands in my pack Alpha's house. Everybody tried their best to avoid me, they say I bring bad luck everywhere I go.

"You!" Elijah glared, "You're so hateful!" Carl's lips curled into a smile, "Are you going or not?" "Fine, I'll go." Elijah slumped his shoulders and walked inside. After seeing Elijah go in, Carl stood up and walked outside. At this moment, Raven had already taken human form and was standing not far away. When he saw Carl walking toward him, he hurried over, "Master." "Where's the stuff?" Carl looked at Raven. Upon hearing this, Raven took some fruit candy out of his pocket and handed it over, "The fruit candy you asked for."

Raven's eyes sweep over me, slow and appraising, before their lips curl into a knowing smile. "Oh, honey," they purr, clapping their hands together. "This is going to be fun." Raven practically vibrates with excitement, their eyes sweeping over me like I'm a couture gown they can't wait to tailor. Neon lights reflect off their sequined jumpsuit, throwing glimmers of purple and silver across their dark skin. I shift under their gaze, suddenly hyper-aware of how ordinary I must look compared to the dazzling explosion of colour around me. But Raven doesn't seem to mind. They take a step closer, eyes glinting.

Raven reached for a pack of cigarettes and held out the packet for Elena. She shook her head. “I don't smoke.” “Yet…” Raven added. Silently, Elena watched Raven place the stick of cigarette between her lips and light an end on fire. Raven didn't look like most of the girls back home. Dark purple hair that shimmered faintly under the light, tanned skin, face piercings and a tattoo sleeve. Raven blew out a puff of smoke. “So what're you in here for? You know majority of the people who join in are homeless people who've got no place to go.” She eyed Elena briefly. “You don't exactly look like you've been homeless.”
