As I lowered the goblet, Raven’s tense gaze lingered on me. He sensed my panic, but said nothing. Instead, he simply allowed me to gather myself before continuing as though nothing had happened. “These are the final evolved forms of my butterflies,” Raven said. “Butterfly fairies, my very first healing partners.”

Why send thugs, when they could have just sent the cops? “That’s suicide, you can’t go against them by yourself.” “It’s not like I haven’t tried, once you get in the safe, you can come help.” Raven slipped on silver brass knuckles, then sprayed her skin with a water base silver dust. She walked confidently out the office, ‘And she calls me cocky,’ thought Trevor going back to the safe. “Hey, I think I’m a little lost,” Raven called as their eyes turned to hers, changing to gold.

He spoke quietly. It seemed that, unlike Arden, he knew how to keep his anger on a leash. Yet my heart raced wildly against my chest because of what I heard. If this involved my mother and me, did that mean these people had a hidden motive? or Mr. Ravenchi?

I stated every word clearly. "Raven , he is protected by twenty professional guards . Nobody. Not even his own family could be around him without his guards . This snake doesn't trust anyone . If you want to attack him you need to do it using your brain . " he justified. I sighed in frustration . Biting down my lips harshly. This sly fox . I wish I could just rip off his throat right now . "Okay . What do you get ?" I asked. "This ." He said, handing me another file .

Raven uttered probably noticing me looking aorund the room. Raven just relaxed on the couch, feeling unbothered, while I sat on the wooden chair and did not stop tapping my fingers on the table due to anxiety, any minute now, I will go out and die. And I have no idea how heartless Raven is, but he looks cool about me going out there to fight and probably die. Was he just pretending to be worried about me? And now he is going to be glad that I am going to die? How cruel would that be.

Clay's mocking voice joined Cary’s as Gunner sauntered up behind Roan. But Raven wasn’t ready to surrender. She tucked her hind legs in close to her belly and kicked out with all her strength. Roan flew backwards, taking his brother down with him. But she didn’t even wait to see where they’d land before taking off again. Raven ran like the wind, determined to show her mates she was worthy. And by the time they caught up again, I had shifted back and was pulling on my clothes. “You definitely have the speed of an Alpha.” Clay acknowledged as he and his brother sauntered across the yard, both in human form.

One of the vampires had to have some, but would they give it to me? Then, I heard a tutting from behind me. “Rule one of plotting murder,” Raven said. “Don’t, especially if you’re doomed to fail. The second is don’t be so obvious about it.” I turned to look at her. She looked like she’d just taken a shower. Her eyes glowed with a soft red light. She was wearing another pair of tight leather pants and a camisole shirt under an embellished black corset. She looked as if she had rested and her eyes had a soft glow to them.

And then the smoke laughs. The sound curls down my spine, high and delighted and absolutely fucking aware. The form it takes next is not human. A raven. Sleek, jet-feathered, its eyes gleaming like mirrored onyx. It lands in the center of the circle with slow, deliberate grace, preening a wing with its beak. Not a real bird. A construct. A puppet. But it’s not random. It’s been carefully chosen. The raven looks at me, then opens its’ beak and speaks.

Raven was at least five foot nine inches tall, and I would have to say she weighed approximately around one hundred and forty pounds, and it was all muscle. Raven hadn't even stripped yet, and I could tell her breast were perfect. Raven had sky blue eyes and Raven black hair that cascaded down to her plump butt cheeks, and it all made me almost cum in my pants. When her eyes met mine, my heart stopped; I couldn't breathe.
