Now that I knew of the author, it was time to see the content. I pulled over off the road and stopped the car. The visibility of the storm had increased, making it impossible for me to continue driving safely. So, instead, I opened the journal and started reading. My eyes skimmed the words, keeping in mind that I was potentially reading from the perspective of an unreliable narrator. And soon enough, I found myself enraptured by the scenes they were depicting. Human on human wars, pacts between humans and supernatural beings, werewolves, Kindred…Human Hunters.

Every moment in time can bring about a bit of change, it could be subtle or it could be drastic. Each night brings about a new dawn, and the world is renewed. Tonight marks a historical change in the Vampiric world, here tonight in this grand manor which is isolated in the upper state new york countryside. I Hunter Eldridge have brought about a reckoning, all of these council members who sat in their lofty thrones, and held themselves as gods above everyone else, learned how it would feel to meet their creators in death.

I walked along the rows of shelves, my fingers trailing lightly over the spines of the books as I searched for something new to read. After a few minutes of browsing, a book caught my eye…”The Encyclopedia of Supernatural Beings”. It was an old, thick tome with a worn cover, but it looked intriguing. I pulled the book from the Ilf and settled into one of the comfortable armchairs by the window. I flipped through the pages, my curiosity piqued as I read about all sorts of supernatural creatures…some I had heard of, and others I thought were nothing more than myths. There were detailed descriptions of vampires, witches, werewolves, fae, and other beings, but what truly caught my attention were

I admired some of the old classics and new books as my eyes wandered over every title. I had gathered a stack of books in my hand, picking ones I wanted to read and taking them out. So far, I had five books that I found would pique my interest such as Alice in Wonderland, Pride and Prejudice and the Maze Runner. All of these books were human and I admired the wide selection of books that this room had. I tried to find one that was all about werewolves like the library back at my pack had and only seemed to find one that was labelled 'As Old As Time Will Tell' written by none other than one of the eldest werewolf alive which was 'Herbert Vanderlin'. In the blurb, it states his life as an old

Edith was in the history section. Her hands were skimming through the rows of books stored neatly on the shelves. Edith was looking for books and articles about urban legends, myths, and other supernatural things. Edith carried a stack of books in her hands. She stepped towards the table carefully as her vision was obscured by the books she was carrying. Arriving at the end of the section, Edith bumped into something hard in front of her. Uri turned the pages of the ancient book; he had read carefully the books Anthea had brought. The content of the two books about vampires was similar to what he had read in school. And in particular, there is no information that the Red Leaf organization has hidden. As for the book about the creator god, there were some important information, so he wanted to ask Clement. I dropped the books on my bed and flipped one open.
