While waiting for his next words my heart started to beat fast. “You’re Caleb’s cousin, of course, I wouldn’t be rude to you. If you misunderstood it and gave a deep meaning and interpretation, I won’t apologize.” He continued. I smiled a bit. That’s the answer I was waiting for. “Oh, alright I’m sorry,” Cassie replied and tried to fake a laugh but that doesn’t turn out that way. After the awkward moment, Caleb continued the game, and it stops on me this time. “Dare.” I quickly speak. I don’t want to share any personal information, especially since they were asking too much. Though Cassie probably enjoying the spotlight if she’s on the hot seat.

His voice shook because he was both sorry and determined. Ethan didn't move, and his hands were clenched at his sides. I waited for the denial, the excuse, the careful rewording that would make it sound less ugly. None came. “It was casual,” he said quietly. “A handful of nights when I thought you were gone for good. As much as possible, I wished we won't traverse so close to each other around the city.
