Probably the book title font, or the fact that the cover was hella attractive. I couldn't quite place. I stared at the book written in Bold black and white font with the title: A New Pet for the Mafia King By Author Liy Lah.

The house can clean itself. While passing through the hallway of the second floor she came across Aleister's room and noticed his door slightly open. She heard his voice narrating something. Curiosity got the best of her so she took a little peek at his activity. What she saw melted her heart. Manticat was tucked in Aleister's bed and the demon himself lay beside the familiar with a book in his hand. He read the story to the little cat monster who listened with drowsy eyes meowing a comment once in a while.

And as we ate, we watched one of Lucy's cartoons again. I'm starting to like these crazy animations. Lucy fell asleep and I took her to her bedroom. I headed back to Danica’s bedroom to check on her one more time. I leaned against the door seeing her knee-deep in the book she was reading. I took a peek at the cover to see what kept her so entranced, and I smiled when I saw it. Man into Woman, written by Lili Elbe and published posthumously in 1933. I watched her as she read the book.
