Violet loses her parents as a young child and is brought up by an elderly aunt. As she approaches her 17th birthday her life is turned upside down when her Aunt tells her that the life she has built with her must end - she has to go to learn about the background of her father. Secrets have been kept and those secrets turn Violet’s life upside down! Not only does she have to accept that her father wasn’t what she thought he was, but she too, is something she didn’t even realise existed! It seems a whole plan was in place for if something happened to her parents, including learning of her background and all it means.
